TCBunny Sliding Barn Door Hardware Set Stainless Steel 6.6 FT - Antique Style

The railing system works great. After much searching we ended up buying a butcher block from Perfect Plank http://www.perfectplank.com/index.html It took the contractors just a couple hours to cut the rail to size and install the ~125 lb 'door'. The wheels are rubber so they make no noise when they glide and the solid door means very little sound. It glides easily with only the lightest touch -- any little one could open it. It came quickly and well packaged. Using a sliding door rather than a pocket door saved us about 4" of space in our bedroom and using a sliding door rather than a swinging door meant our opening is wide enough for a walker and leaves us space for towel bars.

I absolutely love this product. It is cheaply priced but the quality is not cheap. I did not build my barn door but purchased a solid wood door (36 x 80) which is quite heavy. This hardware is holding that door perfectly. Unlike the picture shown on Amazon, I have a door jamb which I place a 1 in. x 3 in. x 8 ft. Common Board (painted same color as walls) over the top of the door jamb. I used 2 1/2 inch cabinet screws to secure the common board to the studs and it is QUITE secure. I also used wood screws instead of the screws provided to anchor the pole brackets to the common board. I have yet to add the door guide on the floor because the door is just a bit short on the bottom due to my having to hang the barn door hardware above the door jamb. I am trying to figure out whether I want to add wood that I would screw into the bottom of the door, or securing a metal plate to the bottom of the door or raise the door guide by place wood underneath the guide and use cabinet screws to secure it to the floor (SUGGESTIONS would be great). Now for the down side to this product: INSTRUCTIONS SUCKED (Big Time). Written instructions along with the pictures would have helped me move along faster. It took me 6 hours and a couple of trials and errors to get this right. I am still proud of the results and have to pat myself on the back; not bad for a 54 year old woman doing this all by myself. This system was easy to install. The parts were heavy duty and appear to be well made. Note it is the track system only and does not include the door (the door we used was from Lowes special order)

Easy install and works beautifully. My door opening was 36", so the extra few inches provided by this hardware as opposed to other shorter models is much appreciated. I had a slight issue with the rollers that mount to the door itself, as my door was extremely heavy and the rollers screw into the door from the top. The weight of my door stripped the screws out, so i made some U-shaped brackets/straps to go over the roller mounting screws allowing me to screw the straps into the side of the door and support the door's weight.

The hardware was very high quality and I found it easy to install myself. Just be wary that the drywall anchors provided can't hold much weight. I had to buy some toggle anchors rated for 80 pounds so that the track wouldn't sag when I put the door on it. Also, when installing the track, the instructions said to drill the holes at door height + 2 inches. I assumed that this didn't account for floor clearance so I added a half inch to that. I'm glad I did - my door would've been dragging on the floor otherwise.

Overall a very good experience !Bought 2 sets, one rail was missing an end cap. After contacting them, they sent a whole new rail (so now we have a spare - they said to keep it).These are not hard to install if you are handy with basic tools (drill, screwdrivers, hex wrenches, etc.) - although it helps to have 2 people.Ours have been installed and working for several months now with no problems! The metal wheels have rubber on the inside srface that rolls on the track and that makes them roll very smoothly and quietly.The satin nickel finish goes well with stainless steel in the nearby kitchen. They look good to us, and visitors always comment on how nice they look as well.

It looks great! We had to use bolts that weren't as big in the back so it wouldn't scrape on the framing of the door, but if you're installing on a wall with no door frame, you shouldn't have this problem. Very happy with this product and it seems to be very sturdy and great quality.

This is one awesome hardware set! The parts look to be all milled out of soild stainless and beautifully finished, seriously they look like jewelry. The rollers are cusioned ball bearing rollers and they slide like smoothly and effortlessly. The quality and attention to detail is really awesome. This installed in about 30 minutes- finding the studs was the hardest part. The installation instructions are all pictograms without any written directions which is less than optimal, but works for me. I couldn't figure out how the bottom guide was supposed to work- I believe that you cut a groove in the bottom of the door and this mounts to the floor and fits into the groove- but they don't say that anywhere. My installtion the door opening was too tall so my door sits too far above the floor for the guide to work- I welded up a wall mount guide that fits into a groove in the bottom of the door. I am extremely pleased and highly recommend this product.
