This is a very well designed and sturdy mount. It's versatile and easy to install and works perfectly and saves space and looks great too. It has a great range of movement and tilt angle and adjustability, that will work almost anywhere. They arrived on time, well packaged and protected. The quality and craftsmanship is amazing for the price. I'm very happy with it and I'd recommend this highly.

Every time I purchase another tv mount I remember the first one which cost more than the tv hanging on it today! I’ve purchased at least 10 different ones since. All through Amazon and total cost is less than that original purchase. This mount does not disappoint its versatility is vast. Well built, simple to install and it looks great without paying an outrageous price. As tvs get bigger and lighter they also get more affordable but most tv mounts available locally seem to be priced based on cost of tv they’ll hold rather than quality or functionality, to say nothing about versatility. I highly recommend this product and seller. Amazon has been connecting customers with sellers and manufacturers that otherwise would be unavailable to most. For those die hard “American made only “ folks, Costco has tv mounts three times the price but I bet they come from China too. The money you spend is made in America by an American yet it’s gonna go further if you’re willing to spend it overseas. I’m taking pride in wise purchasing while I’m still a proud American, thankful for all the humans who made it possible for me to get this product.

Easy to mount and works perfectly in the place we mounted it

First, the good stuff. This is a very sturdy mount. Good range. Fantastic (clean) look. It was an easy installation mainly because we built our deck roof knowing this would be a part of it. Now that said, I do have a few issues with this. The tube coming from the ceiling is designed to hold the wires from the TV. However, you have to drop all the wires down first before putting in the pins or the wires won't go down. In other words, you need three people to install. One to run the wires while two hold the TV in place as you do. Second, the hole at the top won't easily take a standard 3-prong plug. The hole is too small. I had to trim some of the shield around the plug to get it through the hole and even then it was a force. Third, the tube should be larger. You have the power to the TV and then cables (HDMI, etc). I also have a soundbar on my TV so there's a power need there too. The tube isn't really made for more than a cord or two. Overall, definitely recommend as long as you have some helpers and you know what to expect. But the engineers should be given lessons on putting customer experience first. They missed the boat and it cost them a star.

First off, this thing is far sturdier and better made than I expected it to be. It exceeded my expectations in every way. The project was a bit sideways of the typical use case for this TV mount, although I did not have to modify it. My home gym in the basement has a large wall mounted TV on one end. I also have a couple of couches for watching games and UFC that were close to the TV before the quarantine. When the quarantine hit, the couches got pushed to the other end of the home gym to make room for viewing Zoom classes and allow more space for the adults and kids to workout together. We needed a TV mounted in the middle of the ceiling that could get stowed away to allow both easy viewing from the couches and overhead space when we used the area for family workouts. It would also be helpful if the TV could rotate to cover a corner dedicated to weight equipment for zoom meetings with my wife’s weight coach. I say need, but it’s definitely a low priority nice-to-have that quarantine time off made possible. I got all the electronics aligned, but needed a ceiling mount that could rotate a TV 360 degrees and either be easily detached or ideally folded up to the ceiling. After researching my options, I found this amazingly well built ceiling mount. When I received it, I was immediately impressed with its construction and quality. It exceeded my every expectation. In fact, I expected that I would have to modify it to make it work. I didn’t have to change it at all, outside of its existing capabilities. I removed the bolt that prevented it from folding flat and from moving (it’s designed to hang at an angle or lock in flat with a tightening bolt to hold it in position). I wanted it to be freely moving. I put the bolt back into the channel outside of the pipe to prevent the pipe from “over extending” (so it can fold flat to the ceiling, and drop down and stop at 90 degrees). I added the lightest 32” Smart TV screen I could find, and a pneumatic closer attached to the ceiling and screwed into one of the height adjustment holes. I also added a clamp to hold the TV in position for storing up to the ceiling. I don’t consider the closer or the clamp as modifying the mount itself. This mount wasn’t specifically designed to be used this way, but it was almost like it was built for this. We can now pull the TV down from the ceiling, release the clamp, and spin it around for couch viewing of a game or to keep kids entertained while we work out. We can spin the TV to project zoom meetings from a phone, or watch YouTube or other workouts on the smart TV from the weights area. If we are doing a family workout and need all the space, we can lock on the clamp and tuck this TV back up to the ceiling. As an added bonus, if you get a zoom meeting going on not TVs when this one is folded up, you have visibility on the wall and ceiling. There are some adjustments I still want to make, such as some way for short people to get the TV off the ceiling, and a smoother/tighter drop movement that the pneumatic closer can’t provide. It wants to be folded, so you have to set a stopper to keep it down. I have imagined a cable/winch or actuator setup of some kind maybe tied into the smart house features and controlled from the phone... Not enough quarantine time to get that in place! Otherwise, this was a fun quarantine project that worked out exactly as I envisioned. :-) Love it!

So I wasn't sure about buying a ceiling mount but for my purposes I needed one. It was the only option to have my TV installed in the area I wanted it. the product came in and it actually has very strong materials and I would definitely have all the confidence in the world if I was installing a very large screen TV. There's an additional bars to extend from the ceiling to a lower point, depending on how tall your ceiling is. The hardware included is for every TV application and the components that make the swivel motions are very strong and well made. so I am so thrilled to have a product this good at the price that I got it that I had to take the time to make a review. The only reason I gave it four stars in range of motion was because it swivels the way I think it was intended and designed but at the very end where the TV attached, if it had 360 range of motion, I would have been able to not only hang it from the ceiling but push it up and out of the way for storage and that would have made it just amazing. but even though it doesn't do that, it does exactly what it's purpose is and I'm still very pleased with the product but if the company that designs this made reads these reviews, then the purposes is to get that suggestion to them. It would be truly universal for your TV to have more of a 360 range of motion then it would just be out of this world. So happy.

Easy to install on a sloping ceiling joist. That is my main reason for ordering this item. Works well, easy to assemble, no issues at all. Would buy it again for other outdoor deck/dock areas but certainly would work great indoors too.

Good quality material and adjustable height which is also really nice.

Very pleased with this, our TV is the maximum limit of sized and weight (exceeding it slightly) this was designed for and it performs magnificently. We've now had it for 2 years.
