New Balance Men's MW669BR Walk Shoe-M

I ordered these because I was looking for a good light hiking/every wear shoe for warmer weather. I've worn these pretty much every day for the last six month. They are very comfortable and required almost no break in time. I was able to fit my orthotics in no problem. I normally wear an 11.5 4E, but always buy 12 4E in New Balance. I did the same with these and the fit was fine. They are very breathable in warm weather and they dry fairly quickly when wet. The soles offer excellent traction and stability as well. My only gripe with them is the durability. The toe protector material is starting to separate from the mesh. The mesh uppers themselves have a hole in the side and another in the toe box area where my toe is starting to come through. While I've worn them most days for the last six month, I haven't been doing anything especially rugged in them and was hoping I could have gotten a little more life out of them. Would a be a five star shoe if not for the durability problems.

Had to send these shoes back. Second pair of New Balance I have had to send back. The old MW659 Country Walking Shoes in 11 4E fit perfectly, but the newer models are not as big.

I have wide feet, but I was a little apprehensive about 14 4E shoes. Not to worry. The shoes fit me perfectly. They kinda feel like 2E width, my normal choice. On my first day wearing them, I had them on all day, and no problem. Great support and overall comfort. I'd buy them again.

One thing I like about New Balance is the consistent fit across the model lines, although I always go a half size larger than I would with other brands. These are no exception. I am a size 11 in most shoes, so for me an 11.5D is always a perfect fit in a NB shoe.This model has more mesh than I have ever seen in a hiking shoe, so they will get wet if I use them in the rain, but the full mesh will be nice on a hot summer day. The sole is a nice compromise between traction (lots of small aggressive lugs) and durability (bigger smoother lugs).The heel has more cushioning than I expected, and even the footbed is thicker and nicer than my old MW759 walking shoes. The color is quite a bit darker and more brown than the pictures would suggest, which I like. This shoe is enough of a winner in the price/feature/style departments that I ordered a second pair.

These shoes are comfortable and appear to be well made. I like the brown color because brown will not discolor as readily as lighter colors. I have worn a very similar pair of New Balance shoes in white for well over a year, and the nice white color is now a very dingy grey. I prefer New Balance shoes because they are well made and available in 4E widths.

Been wearing New Balance walking shoes for years. Still have a 5-year old pair I hate to throw out and continue to patch and glue. I'm not cheap, just love the old, worn comfort. I would have preferred a lighter brown but what I have is fine. Good arch supports but I still use inserts.

Unlike many of the more recent New Balance shoes, these are actually sized correctly, and not a bit on the short side. I wore New Balance shoes for years, and always bought size 8.5 4E. As newer versions of the shoe I liked came out, I found them a tad short, so I switched to a 9 4E and had no issues. I bought this style in a 9 4E, and it was a bit long, so when these wear out, I'll switch back to the correct size. My only complaint is the heel is a bit short and feels like the shoe may slip off.

This has to be the best shoe period that I have ever bought. I've been a huge New Balance fan since finding out that New Balance still makes a percentage of it's shoes in the U.S..I bought these shoes with expectations that I was gonna put some major mileage with an upcoming trip to Mexico City. At first I thought the shoes may have been a tad bit firm but after about 2 week break in they felt great. While in Mexico City these shoes felt great on sidewalks, cobblestone, dirt roads, wet and rainy forest paths, Rocky paths, and pyramid steps. Overall these shoes have had over 200+ miles still feel comfortable, still look great and with zero blisters. NB customer 4life!
