Wish I had brought one like this months ago!
It worked fine straight out of the box. Easy to set up, and I linked it wirelessly to my main pc and my tablet. Am amazed at the ink I will save, and without compromising on quality. The colours were vibrant, and it printed out quickly. What I will say is do your homework on the paper you use. Use a quality product or Canon's own papers, as it does make a difference. I just started using Marrutt mat papers, and the quality is very good. I could really see the difference between a cheaper paper and these higher quality papers. You would think my artwork had been printed out by two different machines, the variance in standard of output and colour vibrancy was unreal. The paper does indeed matter, so experiment!

Ink goes on for ever
I use the printer to copy reports and documents for meeting. The print quality of very good and the ink useage is fantastic. However only prints one side of the paper.

Easy set up, works great with my Cricut Maker, 210GSM card went through easy
No problems at all setting up. Was easy and quick. Network connection simple and easy. Ink filling not messy at all if careful. Couldn't get image garden to work but since windows 10 doesn't work with my old canon pixma either. Don't need to use image garden anyway, I use canon IJ scan utility and click on scan gear. I think the printheads are removable if that is what the two cartridges supplied one black one colour (as well as ink bottles) are, which should alleviate the dreaded B200 printhead thingy problem. My old printer heads wasn't removable.A note for Cricut Maker crafty people (a cricut Maker is a cutting machine, for, amongst many other things greeting cards)Cricut Maker users, no problems using with cricut machine. Once printer set up on computer, just chose the G4510 on the send to printer bit, didn't have to do anything else. Came out fine. I used The Range 210 GSM card (I find it easier to print on this GSM and stick it on a 300 GSM base). Don't want to risk 300GSM card through it, too new. Its not supposed to take 300 GSM anyways. Probably not supposed to take 210gsm either but it did.As an addition to above review after using the printer for some time now. It took and printed on 300 GSM with ease.

Beware the display! Canon customer support very poor in my case.
It would be very unfair for me to condemn this printer entirely. It is rated as a Best-Buy elsewhere. My experience with the first printer I received was dire in that the quality of the copies, scans, text prints and photos in B/W and colour were truly awful. In particular, the display was virtually useless. It consisted of two scrolling lines of black text on a grey background. The display was just about usable in good lighting conditions. Otherwise I needed a torch to see what was going on. My eyesight is okay. I spoke to Canon who, to their credit, agreed that the printer I received was faulty. They asked me to email photos etc of the problems. I took a great deal of trouble to do this providing a comprehensive 'portfolio' of pictures of the display, the results of scans and samples of colour photo prints from the G4510 compared with other printers I use in my work. To date they have not even acknowledged receipt of my email. Customer service does not seem to be something Canon recognise as remotely important. Amazon accepted that Canon G4510 I received was faulty and arranged a prompt replacement. When I got the replacement the first thing I checked was the display. It is awful and, to all intents and purposes, unusable other than in good lighting conditions. So, unless you are going to use this printer in anything other than a well lit environment, I suggest you add a torch to your order or use the light on your mobile to see what is going on. Again, to be fair, I never tested this replacement any further than the display on the grounds that if you cannot see what the printer is up to there is little point in going any further. If Canon ever ask you to help them by providing photographic evidence of the faults you are experiencing, then do not waste your time. They will not, from my experience, treat you with anything other than contempt. When I told Amazon that the replacement G4510 also had a useless display they readily agreed to take it back and refund me. Conclusion? My experience with Canon support may be atypical however their lack of any is atrocious. I am surprised that a Best-Buy status 'which' was allocated to this product by a renowned tester lacked any reference to the display. Makes you wonder how reliable and truly independent this tester is? The latest version of this testers Best-Buys does not include the G4510. An Epsom printer takes the top spot with the same organisation now. We all know that Epsom have, in the past, issued firmware updates that make compatible cartridges unusable. There are ways of getting round this provided you have not downloaded the misleading update. Okay I have strayed from my original point but the fact remains that printer manufacturers support is variable and that trusted reviews may not be as reliable as consumers are entitled to respect. In the meantime, the display on the G4510 leaves a lot to be desired.

hate it
Canon used to be a good make but I think it has gone in with HP and quality gone down, feels cheap like plastic unlike my former MP560. THAT LASTED YEARS. Have had trouble with the pink ink flow from the start and doing a big clean uses 1/3 rd of all full tank colours. It takes bottle feeding into tanks. My plugs seem to need a twiddle to make sure it goes on too in both electric and usb connection in the back of it. If one has to send back then all extra costs, so took it at first to my local repairs. It is like it dries out and does not flow to print head area., what ever it may be called now. For the price I paid nearing £200 I think it was , compared to my old one of about 70 at that time I do not think it is worth that money in todays values. To many times i have got really angry as prints not coming out with that red missing so often. Think I may have bought a dud.

Bit more messy than most, but the benefit is worth it.
Great printer and scanner.Bit messy to set up as the ink bottles are used. But the savings over cartridges is worth it.

Quality Print
Found it difficult to set up as I have problems using my hands. My hands got covered in ink. Instructions not a clear as could be. Print quality is good. Hopefully I'll find it easy to use in time.

Best printer ever purchased
Initial outlay of this printer is on paper expensive - but it has to be the best one I have ever purchased,Fed up of lower cost printers and the cost of replacing the ink - even ones with generic cartridges - which ultimately do not live up to expectations - was driving me up the wall. So, biting the bullet I decided on this model. I am a domestic user, but do a lot of printing for my Brownie unit, family history and also my studies. It is proving to be the best printer that I have ever bought and I would highly recommend it to anyone.Easy to install and use.Very economical in the use of ink and handy to be able to view how much ink is left in the tanks.
