A Good Instruction Manual
While I haven't done any projects from this book yet, I am very pleased with the large, bright photos and excellent instruction. It will help me a lot as I get started carving with my rotary tool.

As an old school like me, books and magazines will still be best when it comes to detailed woodworking and carving for beginners. Videos will be good when you already have the basics.This magazine is good not only for beginners but also those who want to go beyond basics.

Great Book
I bought this book as I am just getting started in power carving. It gives beginners all the information they need on bur types and what they are used for, rotary tools types and proper uses as well as basic power carving techniques. There are also step by step carving projects for beginners, intermediate and advanced. Good to read to get started.

Its great for beginners and seems to urge you to get carving for the sheer enjoyment and they keep adding more techniques to help you improve without feeling discouraged. I liked it.
