Very impressed but...
Very impressed but...First impressions (5 star worthy):I was very impressed with the quality of the mummy-pod underquilt system and how effective it is in retaining heat. I also really liked how the whole system compressed down smaller than a normal sleeping bag.1 month update:I have been using this pod system for roughly a month and have been still very impressed with function and how well the system retains heat. I put the bag through the paces and used the pod system in temperatures 10-15 degree Fahrenheit range in Duluth, MN and stayed toasty warm. I have zero complaints on the pod system but actually on the compression sack. I had one of the compression straps rip off on me after one month of use. I have been very impressed with OutdoorVitals thus far and hope to have this issue quickly resolved. For the quality issues stated above that is why I lowered the rating to 3/5 stars.

Wow, this is a great synthetic bag!
My wife bought this bag for me as a surprise &; WOW! It is an awesome synthetic bag. On point with everything. At the price I doubt you’ll find a better bag unless you catch an awesome sale or clearance.Though I really have my eyes set on the down version. Sorry hun... we returned it in hopes to someday get the down one. But I really wanted to keep it because of how nice it was, almost did too.***update *** So after loosing money returning the bag, a few months later we ended up re-purchasing it this time at the higher regular price, but for my son who crossed over into Boy Scouts. We got to use it this past weekend and he loves it. It got down to around 25*F both nights. He stayed warm on his air mattress. We did heat up water in an aluminum bottle and put it inside our bags with us before bed, and it stayed warm all night too.He was in the Stormlight 15* I slept inside my Outdoor Vitals Arie 20 which was inside an Arie 30. So I doubled it up.

Very high quality gear for the price point!
I got the bag and it looks great. I got in it in my home just to see how easy it was to zip and how fast it heated up. Its zips fine i will put a light coat of bees wax lip balm on the zipper I have found that works great on all my gear. It heats up super quick. Its a snug fit and I’m a little worried about what it will be like once the hammocks included in the mix. Even though I feel that way the quality of the bag and everything about it would have me keep it and use it as my main ground bag. But until I add the hammock in I won’t know for sure. I’m very impressed with Outdoor Vitals and already have some more gear on my Amazon wish list.

Outdoor vitals no longer carries the 6’-6” model
I LOVED this bag! Had to return it though. :(I am a large man and somehow failed to notice this product is offered in 2 sizes... regular person size & large mofo size. I accidentally got the miniature person model. At first I thought “no big deal. I’ll just exchange for the bigger one”. Would’ve worked fine, except the fellas at outdoor vitals tell me they’re no longer making this bag BECAUSE a bunch of you Nancy’s out there decided this fantastic bag is too heavy. TOO HEAVY!? Do some squats ladies! Now I don’t get one of these fantastic bags because y’all got weak legs and lungs. Pffffft. If you own one of these bags in the 6’-6” model... and it’s too heavy for you.... sell it to me! I’ll happily hike any distance with it on my pack.

Great bag, warm as Hell. More fitting for a tent.
It's great and light weight, can't lay at a diagonal with it over the hammock. Worked great in my bivy tent. I'm 6'5 and fit comfortably inside, used it in the spring on a solo trip above the snow line and i couldn't zip it up because it was so Damn warm. Look forward to using it for my winter trips. Summer I just used it as an underquilt. Fit great over my 10' double hammock. I even let my mother use it since her bag wasn't warm enough and she loved it. I'll probably use this more in my tent or bivy since my hammock cocoon is a bit more spacious and compact but it's Definately a quality bag for the money.

Everything fell apart
Bag itself was warm, but everything else fell apart on the first use. The zipper was the first to go. It's supposed to have this plastic piece over it that keeps the bag from getting stuck as the zipper moves up. Before I ever unzipped the bag, I saw the part that's supposed to prevent snags. After that, it fell off and I can't figure out how to reattach it.The stuff sack is a bit small for the bag, and very cheaply made. The handle on the bottom of the bag broke on my first trip out of the house with it. Then, when using the compression straps, the buckle broke off and was lost in the leaves. Also while re-stuffing the bag, I noticed a ton of loose strings and threads that were unraveling. Finally, I when they say this is a 33 inch bag, they mean just barely and don't take into account that it will be wrapped around a hammock, too. I fit fine in the bag itself, but with the hammock added it is almost impossible to zip.

Disappointed
Really disappointed, arrived today-zipper defective. Also has down feathers on the inside- I am highly allergic to down, thats why I ordered this SYNTHETIC bag. Also had a funky coating that felt powder like. Not sure what is.Bag is very heavy, would avoid if you plan on backpacking or don't have a heavy duty washer. Really bummed as I was looking forward to using this. Will have to stick with something from REI.

Its a great idea. I ended up getting the 20° bag ...
Its a great idea. I ended up getting the 20° bag instead and kept that one and not this one. This one is a bit too bulky, heavy and too big and doesn’t compress well. If they could optimize the down I think the next generations of this bag could be amazing. I’m hopeful for later revs in more compressible down - I would definitely buy it.
