The Carry On team send up the Tarzan tradition in great style. Lady Evelyn Bagley mounts an expedition to find her long-lost baby. Bill Boosey is the fearless hunter and guide. Prof. Tinkle is searching for the rare Oozalum bird. Everything is going swimmingly until a gorilla enters the camp, and then the party is captured by an all female tribe from Aphrodisia...

Classic British Comedy
Funny movie with most of the CC cast. Memorable moments from a different time.

I like the actors
I like the actors, they are funny mostly because they are enjoying themselves and each other so much. I also like seeing them all play such different roles. But the writing of most of these "Carry On," films is mediocre at best.

Still A Good Carry On
Would've been better with Ken Williams instead of Frankie Howerd.

Carry On Up The Jungle
I love the earlier Carry On Movies. Charles Hawtrey is extremely funny! Good British humor that you are sure to enjoy. The Carry On movies do carry on with the theme of guys oogling girls...but it is tame...not offensive.

Good to just lie back and take the world very lightly. Not much of a story but plenty of harmless and silly fun

Poorly Manufactured Product.
The DVD image did not fit the full screen.Never had this problem before with any DVD and I believe it's really the fault of the producer/seller.It really looked like an amateurish duplicate. I won't deal with this seller again.

One Of The Best 1970s Carry Ons
I've always enjoyed this film. It was one of the better Carry On films of the 1970s, in my opinion and has some very funny scenes. The film was the second and last Carry On film to feature Frankie Howerd in a starring role, though the absence of Kenneth Williams is noticed. Charles Hawtrey also has a much smaller role than usual, though Sid James is excellent as one of the main characters. The film is set in the jungle and the plot revolves around a group of hunters searching for the rare Oozalum Bird. It also features some hilariously noticeable stock footage of wild animals, but these films were always made on the cheap, anyway and it doesn't spoil the enjoyment of the film at all. Joan Sims and Kenneth Connor also both have some funny scenes and Terry Scott is a hoot as a Tarzan-like character. The voluptuous Valerie Leon is also good in a minor role.Overall, this is one of the best of the series from the 1970s and is well worth checking out if you are a fan and haven't already seen it. It isn't shown on TV very often these days, so buying the DVD may be your best chance of seeing it. I give it four stars. I have deducted one star for the lack of Kenneth Williams, but this is still a great, great film, despite that. It's a pity that Frankie Howerd never made any more Carry On films after this, though.
