Like underground sprinkers at a fraction of the cost
These quick snap sprinklers work as well as underground irrigation systems, but at a fraction of the cost. Powerful spray covers a radius of up to 30'-40' feet, rotating from 5 - 360 degrees. Setting up the sprinkler head is pretty simple, burying the sprinkler head level with the ground by digging a small hole, 9" deep by about 12" around, and attaching the hose. The spray is fully adjustable for distance, rotation arc, and stream density. I was able to eliminate those unsightly conventional sprinklers from my lawn (see the attached photo.) The units are well built and come with a multi-year warranty. I can't say enough about this amazing product.

Still working great for me!
I purchased the set of five sprinklers back on May of 2010. There was a bit of a learning curve while installing them, but I attribute that to the lack of experience of the installer (me). After the first two, however, I felt like a pro! I needed all five in my front yard, which is fairly large and has a lot of trees, etc. The most difficult part was definitely digging around some very stubborn oak roots. They worked well that first summer, and I learned several things:1. When using the y-connectors, sometimes you have to shut off the water flow to one of the sprinklers. I found that shorter hoses were fine when supplying water to two sprinklers at the same time, but longer hoses didn't seem to build enough pressure to pop up the sprinkler heads simultaneously. This resulted in either one rising and the other one spitting water uselessly around the still-buried sprinkler head, or neither one rising and both spitting mud puddles. Easily fixed by simply turning off the water to one auxiliary hose and switching it every day or so. The sprinklers all turn on for preset times starting at around 4 am, and two to three run per day, depending on the lawn's need.2. Don't set them up during the day, connect them to a timer, and forget about them. I noticed that my water pressure varies, not only at different times of the day, but also at different times during the season. Keep an eye on them every once in awhile, to avoid wasting water that isn't landing where you'd intended, and to make sure your sprinklers are still supplying adequate coverage. Maybe attaching flow regulators at the spigot would alleviate this problem, but I've found that it's not that difficult to monitor by checking every couple of weeks or so.3. As other reviewers have stated, if there is a problem, the company offers excellent customer service. When one of my sprinklers stopped oscillating, I called the customer service number, and spoke to an extremely pleasant gentleman who explained how I could remove the faulty unit, and promptly mailed a replacement one, which I just had to screw into place. No digging required!4. Maybe this is not the smartest habit, but I've found that I can leave the hoses in place as well. They are placed as "out-of-the-way" as possible, and since I mow fairly high, I've never damaged a hose in two seasons of use. Even the landscapers have mowed over them without any issues. The only time I move the hoses is at the end of the season, when I remove them for storage. If and when I do damage one, the cost of another hose will still be less expensive than constantly replacing cheap sprinklers at a home improvement center (which always have to be removed before mowing, then carefully replaced for correct watering). I certainly don't miss being startled by earwigs scattering out of my sprinklers when I connect the hoses...As I've already stated, I've used this system for two seasons without any complaints. I've now lived in this house for four years, and in the two years prior to owning this system, I'd bought at least eight sprinklers, at approximately $20 each, and most of them were garbage. I use the only two that have survived this time in the back yard, since my landscape plans have not been completed, and I still have to have several pathways and a patio installed before I will bother to seriously maintain that lawn. I sometimes just estimate their placement, and have several patches of dead grass where the sprinklers don't hit adequately. I now consider it to be such a bother to deal with them; they leak, they never seem to maintain their preset patterns, and I get soaked when moving or adjusting them. I can't wait to install the QuickSnap units in the back and be done with it.If you are not ready to install a costly system, this is an excellent investment, and I highly recommend it.

Good Product But Many Variables
This is a good product that looks like it will last. Somewhat easy to install but you need to apply a little common sense to have a successful install. I will provide my Pros and Cons and helpful tips below.Pros:1. Solves the problem of most sprinklers where it is stationary and will not move and quick snap and you are good to go.2. Don't have to ruin your lawn to install.3. Same performance as an expensive underground irrigation system but for a fraction of the cost.4. Comes with everything you need to do multiple uses.Cons:1. Not very user friendly, Videos give you a guidance but there are many things that you have to figure out on your own, it would be nice if the manufacturer provided more helpful tips videos.2. Product comes with a flaw (in my case) manufacturer says: "LEAKS. The sprinkler will leak from the turret, especially when the water is cut off and the turret retracts. This is because it is water pressure that holds the seals in place. If leaking occurs from other joints in the assembly, they may have become loose in transit. You may hand tighten or remove parts and add plumbers tape to the threads." Well every single unit I had leaked from the bottom where the sprinkler and the inlet tube mate.My Helpful Tips:1. Put plumbers tape on the bottom where the sprinkler and the inlet tube mate. Manufacturer doesn't specify its a must to do this but it is a must to do this because the packing it comes with doesn't do a good job on its own and leaks from the bottom of the unit and over time I can see this be a problem with the unit sinking underground.2. Make sure you know where the start of the sprinkler is (if you are reading the quick snap logo the start is where it says 360 and to the far left) you can manipulate the sprinkler to go more left but when the sprinkler is on it won't go further than the start. I thought it was adjustable but it is not and had to re-adjust the position.3. Viewing the how to video on the manufacturer's website is a must and don't overlook anything because if you don't follow it step by step you will have issues.4. The manufacturer recommends doing a hole 4" wide and 9" deep. But what I ended up doing is using a 6" pole digger shovel and made the hole about 5" wide this was very beneficial because I feel a 4" wide hole was way to tight of a fit where the tubing was crunched up a little and was leaking internally and when I made the hole a little bit wider it gave me plenty of space to adjust as needed and I did have to use more dirt to fill it but I feel it was better to fill too.5. On the hole subject do your 4" hole first put the unit underground and test it, this will keep the unit from moving and allow you to make your adjustments and to see from a distance. After that make your hole bigger at least 1" more, I used a 6" pole digger shovel, I just didn't open it all the way to not make a full 6" hole and then I finished the install. This method does have its disadvantages but it is what worked for me and thought I share.Overall I am happy with the purchase, I wish there weren't so many variables but at the end I feel it is worth it. I will update this review after 6 months to provide a performance review but I am glad I found something that solved all my problems trying to water my lawn.
