Rustic American Old West Outdoor Home & Garden Wooden Wagon Wheel Bench, 42.25x21x31, Brown

This bench arrived quickly, assembly went well, of course I wood glued all mating surfaces and once the bolts were tightened and the glue set (next day) I coated every surface with Minwax one step "old Maple" polyurethane to seal the weather and insects out forever. This toughened up the surface and sturdied the project to my satisfaction. Great value with all things considered, it never hurts to put your thinking cap on while assembling things so as to create the best item it can be.

i am very happy with my wagon wheel bench. i would have liked to have known the size before purchasing it.its a little short width..all in all a very nice peice of outside furnature. i had compliments and people asking where did i purchase it ,so they can purchase it too..i may buy one next year ..just so i know that the winter won't hurt it in any way i will bring it in my home and it will serve as an added peice of inside furnature..i do recommend that if you purchase this item a good couple of coats of varnish gives it an added pleasing effect..

Very rustic and adorable!

It's not bad but could certainly be better. It was a bit banged up when I got it but I'm using it in my flower bed, so it doesn't really matter. If you're going to have it outside, I recommend hitting it with a coat of spar urethane or two. I did two. The parts are rather poorly constructed, so you're going to want to do some reinforcing too. Additional brads in the joints of the wheels and base will make it a whole lot more sturdy. Make sure you dry fit all of the parts before reinforcing the wheels, to avoid warping them and making final assembly difficult. After you make the necessary modifications, it will take a little convincing to get it to fit together. I'm only using it for decoration and it serves that purpose pretty well. If I had bought it as an actual bench to sit on, I'd be kinda torqued about it's condition and construction, but I didnt, so I'm not.

Very flimsy. Definitely only for decoration.Apparently has no weather proofing or treatment on it. Is has been outside for 3 weeks and we've only had rain a couple times this week and it's molding and wood is soft and soaked. Would not recommend at all

Read most of the reviews but still took a chance. Opened the box and it was broken. However, my son who is a carpenter was able to fix it. He reinforced the bench and it is better than as sold. Did treat it for outside use as it would not have lasted too long. The look of the bench is perfect for the intended area. Overall disappointed in the quality. This bench was sold for outside use and to sit on. Would not have lasted without our extra efforts. The bench should come with a warning about inferior quality.

After seeing the 1* from another seller I took a gamble and purchased it, really don't see the quality issue here when put together properly it's firm and a joy to sit on.I'm starting to think people who have no idea how to use nuts and bolts and washers are the ones who leave disgraceful reviews. Fits lovely in my cosy corner awaiting my chess opponents.

Not good quality, very flimsy. I will be returning this. Such a shame because I was looking forward to receiving this as my birthday present
