Good For The Price -- Very Good -- But Not For Large Prints of Landscapes
The results from this camera almost equate with the Sony Alpha 6000 and Sony 18-200mm Lens which I bought back in 2014 for three times as much. The lens on this camera, while sharp enough for most purposes, does not yield resolution quite as fine as the Sony. For my purposes, except for enlargements of landscapes, the lens on the Kodak is better than adequate. This camera is fun to use with a firm ergonomic grip design, a viewfinder in addition to the LCD screen, good controls and a menu which is reasonably simple to navigate. There is one odd limitation which I did not expect: the aperture does not close down smaller than f/7.4, and I would prefer at least f/16 for landscapes.

Most horrible experience with a camera
I've taken photos for decades, and am quite picky with my photos. My first three point-and-shoot digital cameras were actually Kodak, and I was surprisingly happy with them. My last three cameras were Sony, and was very glad with photo quality, until they all seemed to have issues with the flash within the first year.Bought this Kodak PIXPRO Astro Zoom AZ901-BK camera a few days before Christmas, arrived Saturday, December 21, hoping to take Christmas photos. Big mistake with time ordered, and assumed faith that a new camera would work. Everything that could go wrong with this camera did. The camera kept freezing up; you can view the screen, but no buttons worked. Had to keep popping the battery out to reset. Did not want to focus most of the time (no matter what modes I selected), and even when it indicated it was focused, most of the photos were blurry. So the photo quality were very unpredictable, with about 10-20% acceptable rate. What wasted opportunities for nature and family moments. Urrrgh.Best consolation was when we returned it a couple days after Christmas at the local Kohl store. The line moved fast. We only waited a few minutes for the whole return process once in line. Kohls' cashier just scanned our refund code on my husband's cell phone, quickly taped up the box we brought in, and printed out a Return Confirmation receipt.I am sure it was a defective camera, but what awful timing and nightmarish experience. This Kodak camera's body was nice and solid. Though the review feature and screen is quite inferior compared to the Sony HX400V. The Sony also focused fast, even with small, fast, and far subjects; I've had sharp, stunning photos of hummingbirds and butterflies -- quite consistently.

The Camera with Many Questions.
I bought the Kodak AZ901 to rekindle the photography bug that I had but couldn't really express with my current camera. I kept researching for a while for the best and affordable camera. I decided to settle on the Kodak AZ901 to see if this would satisfy me.Day One: I looked at the vast features it has and took a couple shots at various things around the house and noticed that the auto focus is a bit odd to control as well as the ring around the lens. It took a while to get a shot that I was pretty okay with. An annoying thing about the Kodak AZ901 is that the macro mode isn't a set option to keep on and it's limited to the lowest zoom, it can't capture the details for a object that is far away. Unless I can invest for a tripod, it's agitating to deal with.Day Two: Took some more shots but noticed the gold band around the lens started to come off the camera. I put a tiny, thin piece of tape to secure the gold head. Wish that the gold band was metal with a clear, smooth like coating to give a premium feel. Perhaps I'm asking too much.I took some videos with the camera to test it and while a great quality for as the visuals, the sound quality could have been improve with the option for a microphone port or something. If you even lightly move the camera during filming, you'll hear the mechanisms of the camera in the video. JK Imaging (or Kodak.) could have adjust the microphone in a place that even wind wouldnt affect the sound quality of the video.I'm currently deciding about if the Kodak AZ901 is really for me. I do like its design and it's heavy in my hands which I don't mind. I'll give it a week to decide.Update 10/20/19I have returned the camera due to some freezing issues and other reasons. It was a good camera but it's best to have this camera as a second camera more than a primary camera. The video on it still impress me so I'll give it that.

Not as good as expected
I have been using this camera for over a year and I still can't get it to focus properly at long focal lengths. It does not take as good of pictures as I had expected. I like that it is all in one with built in zoom and batteries last well but the over all quality of zoom pictures is a little disappointing to me. It may be just me but I have tried numerous settings and even with autozoom off it still tries to focus during video recording. Not a bad camera for the price but not everything I expected.

It kept shutting down at crucial moments when lining up to take the shot.
I liked the idea of using Kodak but disappointed in the camera as not being dependable. 10 years ago we had a small electronic Kodak that we took abroad on construction projects - it worked fine.

90X's optical zoom is awesome
I took this picture up in the Blueridge Mountains on Halloween and I did not need to use my tripod to capture the moon this clear. That's what impressed me the most. It is a true point and click.
