The Gallagher Brothers
It's written by Noel and Liam's older brother, Paul. You get a hands-on first account on what made the two brothers what they are today. From the childhood abuse from their alcoholic father, to the details on how they grew up emotionally coping with that(especially Liam and his early competitiveness). It's a great read until we get to the fame aspect of it. Since the Paul wasn't in Oasis, his recount of the band becoming big is mainly from and outsiders point of view. Although there was never a moment that was bad for me, some may want a different biography if their looking for the rise of Oasis as far 1990-1996 goes. This chronicles from their birth to 1996 but the information decreases around 1994. If you want a completely satisfying read on the making of Oasis, read this and then read Tony McCarol's "The Truth: My Life as a Drummer", from the perspective of the fired drummer. He captures the band in it's early struggling stages all the way to their fame. Besides, Oasis only really mattered from 94 to 96 according to most so if you want grim details of the band, read both biographies for a very satisfying read. I would still look forward though to reading about the 96 to 98 years when they recorded and released Be Here Now. Tons of coke, drugs and weekly tabloids on the brothers sounds like a fascinating read!

Quite a Good Book
This book is a must for any Oasis fan out there! It describes the Gallagher brothers in the best way possible, by their elder brother Paul. It is both sad at times and comical. Once again, a very good book. It is also quite addicting, cause you wanna know more experiences in their life which influcened their music and personalities. This book is like watching an old home video of them as kids, it is so descriptive. Buy it now!

This book is as raw, honest and beautiful as Oasis' sound
This is my favorite non-fiction book. It had been years since I devoured a book but I couldn't stop myself from reading this. Not only does it have A LOT of unique information about Oasis, it actually goes into great detail. The first part of the book is about their mother trying to raise the three brothers and it's quite heartbreaking. The rest is of the book is about Rock Stardom which is a lot of fun to read, so the book ends up balancing itself.Overall this is a must read for any real Oasis fan.

What can I say? IT'S EXCELLENT!!!!!!!
You don't have to like Oasis to read this book, you just need to be human. I felt identified with many things the author tell; reading this book made me understand that everyone suffers but we need to wait for our reward. It's a great book;there's some comments the author said about himself and his brothers that I don't like, but anyway, everyone knows he wrote this book for money. It's the first book in English that I read completely, from the first to the last page(and don't like to read in English), so tell me if it's not excellent!

Best oasis book
This is the best oasis book i've read by a mile. I'm a fan, so i've read a few, but this is easily the most interesting. Noel, especially, gets a right hard time from his father. Lot's of kids who grew up in council estates can relate to this and other stories. It's good to see a couple of normal geezers doing well for themselves.

lovely pictures and cute stories
there are two sections of pictures - childhood and oasis. the childhood pictures are very cute. the book is also surprisingly well written and there are some great stories that have never otherwise been documented. it tells us about the gallagher's childhood how the band was formed and how they eventually got a record deal and rose to fame. definitely worth buying for anyone who even vaguely likes oasis.
