Love this pedestal! Looks great ( has a distressed finish ), very sturdy. I am using it as the base for a decorative birdhouse, it looks lovely in my cottage garden. Very pleased with this purchase!

Works great for my vintage sun dial

I purchased this pedestal to use with the Rome Armillary 1332 sundial I bought. I could not be happier with this purchase. Together, this pedestal and the armillary are the prefect statement piece for my garden. Because my garden has a slight slope, I'm going to need to dig a stepping stone in to serve as a level platform to set this on. Once it's securely in place, I'll plant flowers around it. I believe it is heavy enough to withstand the strong winds we get here, but will secure it with rope and landscaping staples around the base if need be. I wanted some kind of feature in my garden that fit my personal aesthetic. I'm not into religious iconography, statues of naked people, or concrete frogs reading books. If you're like me and have been searching for an unusual and captivating centerpiece for your yard or garden. The combo of this pedestal and the Rome Armillary 1332 sundial is hard to beat.

It was as advertised. Works well for what we needed

The pedestal looks great and the sundial was very easy to mount with the included hardware

To read instructions for me, an Alpha male was certainly out of the ordinary, but I am well pleased that I did as I saw the tips about spraying the base with a clear sealant, for rust. In addition, I have a 3' length of 3/8" threaded rod so I can secure to base in concrete.
