Hostess Cherry Fruit Pies (Pack of 8)

A bit expensive, but what do you expect? You ordered it online. The convenience is worth it to me. Product was fresh and as tasty as I recall, although there some sort of slightly bitter aftertaste. Not enough to prevent me from ordering in the future. BUY IT!!!!!

These are great cherry snacks!

These are NOT the pre-bankruptcy-Hostess-quality cherry pies. These smell and taste fried in Chinese restaurant oil, coated in inexplicably bitter icing, with almost no fruit flavor, much less fruit. Arrived all busted in half and leaking. But super fresh! I SO wanted to believe that pre-bankruptcy Hostess was back, but they're not. Whoever manufactured these has no pride, no palate, and no business being in the human food industry. I can't BELIEVE anyone rated these more than 2 stars. Severe buyer's remorse. I won't be fooled again.

With this horrendous Covid-19 Virus Crisis it is many time difficult to get out to shop at the bargain big box stores for our favorite food etc. This has forced me to go on line to order the vast majority of the things I need. One of my favorite brands of snacks is Hostess cakes of all kinds. I like almost everything they produce and when I saw this product (Hostess Fruit Pie, Cherry pie, 8 in inside individual 4.25 boxes) on Amazon I decided to purchase it.I was impressed with the very quick service receiving them in about 2 days; however, they were not in any way bargain priced ($14.86) at about $1.85 for each one. With this new “normal” one has to adjust with the times and begin looking at things in a new and different way. You must now pay for convenience as the products are delivered to your door in a fairly short period of time.In any case, if you are seeking a delicious cherry fruit pie you may want to check out this and other similar products on Amazon if you cannot get them at your local store.Rating: 4 Stars. Love these pies. Delivery was quick.

The product was not like the Hostess fruit pies I was used to. The pies were rather flat and the fruit filling was old and chewy. Perhaps they were stored incorrectly.

Based on past experiences, Hostess Cherry Pies have gone downhill. Pastry is thin, filling is thin and there is absolutely no cherry flavor.
