I love this rainfly
I love this rainfly! I bought it to replace the "bikini" one on my hennessy asym hammock. This gives better coverage without being too big or bulky. It even fits into the snakeskins with the hammock without a problem. Seems to be made well. In fact, I had a raccoon run across the top in the night and there was no evidence of his charade next morning. I was expecting to find claw holes. Seams are taped and so far I've had no leaks. I really like the cord and integrated tighteners. Makes for easy adjustment and are nonslip thus far. I just really can't say enough about this rainfly. It is exactly what I was hoping for and more!

Awesome, light, and strong! Great price!
Awesome product! Glad I had it with me, and set it up, when a unexpected rainstorm came up at 3am! It was my first time setting it up (or any hammock tarp) and I should have made it more taught on the wings, but it never sagged or failed to keep me nice and dry. And low weight is incredible and it feels high quality.I really like the cord tighteners attached to the corners! I wish for additional ease of setup they would have included cordlocks on the cords to make it even less painless if it’s storming when you need to make camp. Wet cords + making knots = PITA! I’ll probably add them myself since they’re cheap, but it would have been nice to have.

Great lightweight tarp on a budget.
I have used this tarp a handful of times now and I have not been disappointed. I purchased the 4 sided, red, 20D silpoly tarp. I love the bright, easy to see color, and the adjustable tabs for the tie-outs are probably my favorite feature. It makes set up so much easier and quick. I've been lucky to have pretty decent weather so far, so I can't say how it holds up in storms. However we did get a small rain shower, with very little wind, and it held up pretty well. Again, very little wind. I didn't have any issues with the tie-out adjusters loosening. I had one side in porch mode and, of course, there was some water pooling, but it didn't really seep through. At least not enough to notice. Of course I wouldn't take this tarp out if I expected storms as a diamond tarp wouldn't provide proper coverage. I had it down to about 50-55 degrees F one night, and I was quite cold, even with my 20 degree dow underquilt and 50 degree dow sleeping bag. As well as wool base layers and fleece jacket. I think that there was a little too much wind wrapping around the sides. But the tarp blocked what was coming right at it, so I'm sure the six sided would work well. Overall I think that this is a great light weight tarp with a great price tag, and from the little bit of research I did, it comes from a great company. It will be my go to summer tarp.

Best design and extras on the market for the price!
Great when the tarp comes with everything to use - plenty of reflective cord already attached and ready to use and included 4 good quality stakes. Best tarp I have for single hammock. I've been thrilled with the quality of everything I've purchased from Outdoor Vitals. And when their stuff is on sale - can't be beat! Paid $28 for this one.

Works Great! (Even below freezing in snow)
Outdoor Vitals 6 side 75 D ultralight tarp.I just used the tarp for the first time and it was during about 3 inches of snowfall. It kept me completely dry and the snow shakes right off, which is promising for use in rain. It went the full length of my hammock and although I used it close to the ground because of below freezing temperatures, the tie downs are plenty long enough for use higher up and between farther apart trees or with trekking poles. I did struggle to figure out how to use the tie downs in a way that I wouldn’t knot them up, but once I figured out which knots to use after a couple minutes it worked great and will allow me to keep it the same every time and adjust lengths, or undo them easily for different configurations. The curved sides kept it nice and tight throughout the night. The tarp kept heat in well also. I could tell a temperature difference within seconds of being under it. (This was intensionally done by putting it close to the ground). It is super lightweight but feels really durable and folds back up nicely. I did have a problem with the stakes pulling up really easily but am contributing that to the partially frozen wet ground. I put them in the ground at an angle and they stayed that way through the night. Overall I am more than satisfied with this tarp after the first use. I can’t wait to use it more and experiment with different configurations.

used them once for 3 days in the Sequoia and was warm and comfortable. Then I bought a tarp and bug net
Have not had a chance to use it yet, but strung it up in back yard to check it out. Belt well, quality material.I see no reason it wouldn't hold up and serve its purpose. To date I've bought a mummy pod bag and hammock, used them once for 3 days in the Sequoia and was warm and comfortable. Then I bought a tarp and bug net, haven't had a chance to use them but looks good.(hope I dont have to use the bug net but got it if I do) I have no problem recommending outdoorvitals the gear good quality and if you order from there web site shipping is fast.

Great tarp anyway.......
The tarp seems great but the measurements given for the tarp are diagonal not legnth x width. It's made really well and is still a great value. Just wish the measurements were explained more clearly. I would buy again.

Excellent quality
Excellent quality!Plan enough space between trees. The trees I chose for my hammock were a little too close for this tarp, but it was super easy to set up. Last hike was a clear night and it was nice to have the option to flip over just one side while still having the ability to flip it back in case of a storm.
