Green Toys Rocket with 2 Astronauts Toy Vehicle Playset, Blue/Red

When I saw that Green Toys had came out with a Rocketship, I was so excited and knew I had to have it for my almost three year old son who is fascinated by outer space.I purchase wooden toys almost exclusively for my kids, with the exception being Green Toys, since they're made 100% of recycled milk cartons AND they're made in the USA. I feel very safe having my kids play with them since they don't contain any lead, BPA or phthalates. They require no batteries, and therefore are powered by your child's imagination. The durability of them is incredible, which is a must if you have a toddler like mine who can be hard on his toys, and they're even dishwasher safe!We started with the Green Toys Tugboat, and have since purchased this Rocketship, Tractor, Fire Truck, Pots and Pans set, Tea set, Airplane, School Bus, and Dump Truck. The quality, durability, and play value of them all is equal. Everything is sized nicely - not too small, but not a huge, ugly hunk of plastic either (that you then have to figure where on earth you're going to store!). These toys actually look nice on display on my toy storage cube in the living room, alongside the wooden ones. They have a retro feel to them which I just love!At any rate, I purchased the Rocket shortly before my second child was due to be born, and decided to give it to my son as a "gift" from his new sister upon her delivery. He absolutely loved it! It instantly became his favorite toy and after a month and half and Christmas which brought many other new toys, it remains his favorite and is probably the only toy he plays with every single day. He pretends to blast it into the air and fly it around, saying he's going to space to see the planets. If he can't find it, he gets upset and asks where his "space rocket" is. The astronauts it came with are awesome and definitely add play value. My son likes to put them in and out of the Rocket, hide them in places like my shoes, and also has them ride on and climb the ladder of his Green Toys Fire Truck. I love seeing him using his imagination!This is our favorite Green Toy! Seeing the fun my son has with it has been worth every penny.

First of all, I like it that is made from recycled materials, we have 3 of these toys (helicopter, train and rocket ship) they are really sturdy and super easy to clean, and I love the simplicity of these toys. They work as they are supposed to, and the size is great too.

This particular rocket is great. The top detaches as a lander/mini rocket and my 3 year old son loves putting other things there and in the rocket.In general, I freaking love Green Toys. They aren't the cheapest out there, but they shouldn't be either. I'd rather get my kid one good Green Toy than 2 or 3 crappy Chinese toys laced with who-knows-what kind of heavy metals and shortcuts they take and put in their paint/plastic.Pros: -High quality molds. You don't see the seams (you know those places in plastic toys where the molds clamp together).-Texture is very nice. Think milk jugs (duh, cause they're made from them)-They are durable and have few breakable parts-My kids love them-Made in 'Murica!-Since they're made from recycled milk jugs, you don't have to worry about what's in the material. Not to beat a dead horse, but the Chinese put anything in everything and that's how they make things for so cheap, ship them halfway around the world, and can still make a profit.-Packaging material could even teach Amazon's "Frustration Free" packaging a lessonCons:-A little priceyOverall though, these are legacy toys that your kids can give to their kids. We have 4 kids, and a bunch of toys. Many of these cheap toys will be given away, many more will break and/or be thrown away because they're flimsy, ugly, annoying, and questionably safe. Green Toys are simple and durable and should last a long time.

I absolutely love green toys and was thrilled when I found this rocket ship for my space loving toddler. Green toys hit every checkbox: fair price, durable quality, basic design, made in the US, and made from recycled plastic. My 2.5-year-old son absolutely loves the toy too. If he could have only one toy, I know he would choose this one. He plays with it all day. If you’re a parent of younger toddlers, you’ll appreciate the durability of this (and all green toys) and the simple design. Most of the other rocket ship toys I had looked at were designed with much older kids in mind. Honestly, if I could give more than 5 stars, I would.

We have bought 4 Green Toys & I really like the brand & their ethos. Toys are bright, sturdy & generally well thought out. We bought the rocket a year ago for my son & even at 18 months he was able to open the doors & put the men inside. The figures are a great size & shape for little toddler hands. Now 2 yrs old he once spend about an hr moving the men from one in each part of the rocket to both in each part, opening & closing the doors & taking off the top. The top of the rocket detaches with an easy twist & has little boosters details on the bottom. Overall the attention to detail on these is lovely & encourages imaginative play. I definitely think this will be a durable toy in terms of the quality & the scope for play. And his 3 year old cousin liked it too because it's a rocket & rockets are inherently cool.

Good, solid, simple toy, but a little short of 5 stars in my opinion. The doors are nice and give the kiddo something to do. Of course the green aspect is great. The only negative with this and the other green toys is that they are just a little bit too simple to be a favorite toy. For the price that makes it not a slam dunk for me. I'd only purchase if they were on sale. I'll follow up if I change my mind as my daughter grows up. Right now she's 21 months and we just gave her the toy.

While this is expensive, the toy is just splendid. Beautifully designed with smooth edges. If your kid is going through a 'space phase' , this is a worthy investment. The size is about 10 inches and its not very bulky. So the kid can 'fly' the rocket. It comes with two astronauts, a detachable small capsule at the top and flip-door. Appreciate the attention to details like the buttons drawn on the capsule ! A good buy.

My grandson loves this - very good quality toy rocket.

My son is 4 years old and loves all things space. I have been searching for the perfect rocket for him and this is it. It may be a bit pricey, but it is solid and very well made so I see this as paying a fair price for something of value. Most rocket toys I have seen are either for older kids or look like they will break easily. My son brings his rocket everywhere and pretends to fly to the planets even those planets which include a large body of bath water. Even our baby girl who is closing in on 2 loves to play with the rocket and will no doubt be lead astronaut when our son outgrows it. The only thing my son wishes is that there were 4 astronauts that comes with the rocket instead of 2 so he can travel in space with Mommy, Daddy and his baby sister.
