I absolutely love this curling iron! I have fine hair and I struggle finding a a curling iron that makes curls that actually hold. These curls seem to be staying in place and I love the long barrel. I’m able to curl my long hair all the way up to my scalp. For me this one is absolute winner. It is very easy to use, and easy to glide my hair through the clamp. I am definitely no pro at using a curling iron and I found this one very easy to use. Two thumbs up!

This curling iron is WONDERFUL! Even at a low temperature, my curls stay. I feel like my hair is less damaged. If I forget to shut it off, it automatically turns off. The barrel is longer so the long-haired girlies are included! 10/10 would recommend!

Purchased this as a gift for my daughter, and it was a hit. She's very happy with it, and I was impressed with the overall quality. It feels well-made, heats up quickly, and does a great job creating curls. Always nice when a gift turns out to be exactly what they wanted.

TRIED 2 and BOTH DEFECTIVE!! This curling iron will not keep my hair on the iron when I curl it. I clamp a piece of hair and start to twirl it up and it falls out literally. I tried a small piece, a medium piece of hair, a larger piece of hair, a tiny peice of hair and every time it did not stay clamped in the barrel. The worst part is my husband bought me one 3 moths ago for Christmas and I returned it for the exact same REASON! I bought it again a couple month later because I was going to give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was a one off and maybe they rushed making it cause it's Christmas, but this next one did the exact same thing but MORE TIMES! A Few times I had it fully up in a curl, and about 5 seconds later it just like gave out and my hair fell out of it. THIS WAS MY FIRST TIME USING IT TOO! I've had a old con air curling iron for 15 years and it still works and I wanted a new type of curl to protect my hair HOWEVER this is pitiful and will stick to my old con air one. I don't want to try another and it is SHOCKING that it cost this much money. I will never buy from this company or recommend it to anyone else.

I’ve tried a lot of curling irons over the years, and this is by far my favorite. I have thick, heavy hair and live in humid Florida, yet my curls actually last all day with this curling iron. The long barrel is my favorite feature. My hair isn’t especially long, but the extra length makes it so much easier to wrap my hair, create even curls, and avoid burning my fingers. I also appreciate the adjustable heat settings so I can choose the right temperature for my hair. It heats up quickly, is easy to use, and gives me beautiful, long-lasting curls every time. If you’re debating whether it’s worth the investment, it absolutely is. I only wish I had bought it sooner!

I have very thick, wavy hair and have had the same curling iron for years. When it broke, I did quite a bit of research before picking this iron. I wanted a longer length iron because of my hair length and this one is perfect. It has a longer than average barrel. You can set the heat that you want and if you are like me and accidentally click the up or down heat setting while curling, this iron has a feature to lock it so that doesn’t happen. The only feature I don’t like is that the tip of the iron lays against the counter surface. I wish it were a bit elevated. I’m attaching a few pictures so you can see what I am referencing. In picture #1 this is how it lays. In picture #2 I am putting pressure on the back of the iron so you can see what I’d like.

The design makes it easy to maneuver, and with a bit of practice and the help of a few tutorials, I’ve been able to perfect my waves. For best results, I found that taking time to get the technique down is key. Once you have that, the waves turn out beautifully, and they last all day with a light spritz of hairspray.

I love this curling iron. The extra long barrel is good for long hair especially for my extremely unmanageable hair. Also I was worried it would be too heavy but it's quite lightweight. And my favourite bonus is that you can lock the temperature so you don't accidentally turn it up or down while using it (which I tend to do a lot).

Love it, does the job. Quick to curl and lasts long enough. Perfect size curl as well.

I own and have used two other Bio Ionic heat styling tools for years (flat iron and curling wand both purchased from Sephora) and love them. So naturally, I purchased the bio ionic curling iron on Amazon thinking it would be the same quality. The first time I used it I had multiple issues: I could not get the clamp to hold my sectioned hair while my hair kept getting caught at the base of the barrel. There was a really bad burning smell (which lasted until my next wash) AND the curls fell out before I was even properly done styling. I wrote off all these warning signs as my own fault and that I just didn’t know how to use the curling iron correctly. There are even reviews here that say it takes some getting used to. I’ve since tried a handful of times, changing thermal protection products, using setting sprays, changing temperature settings and watching YouTube how to videos and am finally convinced this isn’t a user issue. I gave myself so long to “learn how to use it correctly” that I’m now outside the refund window and Amazon can do nothing for me but refer me directly to the company, who also have a disclaimer on their site that I have to apply for warranty coverage within 30 days of purchase. Next time I’ll be less quick to blame myself and just return the product. Don’t waste your money OR if you’re a Bio Ionic fan, make sure you figure it out within the refund window.
