Unbelievable Response From My Plants
I've got to tell you this is the greatest light!! I started off with a P450 and loved it so much that I went straight to the P1200. I just purchased my second P1200. Not a man of much science, but I do know what responsive plants are. The stretching stopped. The plant is clearly growing at a rate I have never seen. The veins in the leaves are more defined. The leaves are darker green and the vegetation is dense. The root ball is enhanced (can see it when transplanting). The node spacing on the plant is closer and overall the plant is more robust. Been using these lights since early November. The first girls were just put in to flower about 10 days ago and you can bet I will follow up with the results, but my expectations are high. I was doubtful because of all the double speak and attitudes about LED out here, so I original bought the 450 to test. I grew babies under the veg light of the P450 side by side with Hydrofarms 8 bulb 400 watt T5. Same clones, born the same day, same soil, same food, same cycle. Only the light was different. In veg mode, at 137w in veg mode running the P450, that is 263 LESS watts burning that the T5. They responded with nearly double the growth rate. While the others are still in veg, the three I raised under the 450 are in the flower room at day 10 under the P1200. That's right, 27 days from birth to flower light. I am going to replace my entire lighting system with these lights. No ballasts, compact, easy to manage and clean. The fans are noisy, but no noisier that the 750 CFM I cool my 4 1000 HPS with. The HPS don't know it yet, but in my room...their days are numbered. Outstanding light for all stages of growth. I would highly recommend it. I got dizzy reading...par, lumens, watts, nanometers...I just had to try it and see. For the price and the warranty....the savings on bulbs and power, the exceptional response of the plants....this light is for me. My bro saw the response of my plants, got jealous and is going right out to buy one too.A follow up for my friend in OR...two pics. Same girls....4 weeks into 12 hours. 9 weeks old.....01-01-16. Node space is averaging 1/2". I pinched and trained them as they went. Healthy, same amazing colors, leaf definition, drinking and eating more and faster than anything I have ever grown. I am ordering two more. The footprint isn't as large as I am used to under HPS, but what is under that footprint is kicking a**!!...

Everything works and I'm more than happy of how powerful this light is and the spectrum ...
Light came quicker than expected. I live in colorado and decided to go LED from a 1000w HID. I recieved light today but reason I didnt give 5 stars is because light had a very minor scratch in the paint on top and a slight bend in the vent on the side which I was able to push and bend back. Very minor, but I did turn light on and flipped the veg/bloom switches. Everything works and I'm more than happy of how powerful this light is and the spectrum and footprint it gives out. Wow. I will give a later review of this light further into my grow when I can see real results. I currently have seedlings 10 days in under a flourescent. Not quite ready for the p1200.

Poor quality
Do not buy. After 2 years of actual use over a 3 year period i have a bunch of burnt out led bulbs to the point that 25-40% of bulbs are burnt out. Way to expensive to be having that percentage of bulbs burnt out. I only used them for bloom 12 on 12 off. I have 4 of the P1200 thats $5200 in grow lights with all 4 having burnt bulbs after 2 years of use. What a waste of money. Theres other companys out there with better n cheaper products.

The light is very big, bulky & heavy. ...
The light is very big, bulky & heavy. The penetration isn't intense enough for vegetation below the top canopy to live. It all dies out? Not what I was expecting with the 1200 watt power.

SUPER Powerful (maybe too much)
UPDATE: 4/1/18 after around 5000 hrs of use an entire line of red lights have burnt out. Disappointing when it is supposed to run 50k - 100K hrs without issues. I have yet to contact the manufacturer so not sure but I imagine I will have to mail it out or something and it's 50+ lbs DON'T BUY. I thought going for something more expensive would save me a headache... NOPE!OLD Review: WORTH every penny IMO. It is VERY strong and keeping it @ "18 during the stretch is tough - might need to down scale b/c it is amazingly efficient.

I'm an LED Grower!
Allow me to begin by saying I'm an LED Grower. I used to use MH and HPS but heat became too great a factor so I converted to LED to solve a problem. Let me state emphatically...DON'T BELIEVE THE "LED WATTS" hype that ALL LED companies lead you to believe. If you are replacing 1000W MH and HPS lighting this light will not give you the same yield as a 1000W HPS...PERIOD! I weigh my dried and cured product after each harvest to determine the grams per watt yield and the stated "LED WATTS" never yielded that of the equivalent harvest weights of HPS WATTS.That being said, in order to harvest the same equivalent yields as HPS you MUST determine how many watts the LED light is drawing from the wall. So in this case this light will give you a 15% better output than a 600 WATT HPS (This light draws approximately 690 W from the wall with both VEG and BLOOM switches turned on). I played around and purchased other lights using the stated LED WATTS and expected the same harvest results as HPS and was sadly disappointed every time. Once I learned to determine the appropriate lighting based upon the actual true wattage draw from the outlet was I able to achieve the desired and comparable results to HPS lighting.I recently upgraded my RDWC Hydroponic system to an Under Current UC8XL. I previously ran 4 Under Current modules (A UC4XL) under one 750W Black Dog Platinum XL (which draws 750W from the wall) and would harvest approximately 8 - 8.5 ounces per plant every 8-9 weeks. I just completed my first harvest with the UC8XL (an 8 module system) and achieved the same results using the one Black Dog Platinum XL and one of these P1200 lights. In the side by side comparison of both I have one complaint about the P1200...the light must be raised higher above the plant canopy than the stated 18-24 inches during bloom phase. The P1200 caused the tops directly under the center of the light to bleach out (look almost like cauliflower) and the leaves to turn upward. A clear sign of light burn. Once I raised the lights to around 30-32 inches above the canopy those problems ceased. On a more positive note, I also noticed that the flowers under the P1200 had fuller calyxes, denser buds and seemed to finish slightly ahead of the plants under the Black Dog 750. I can also now clearly say that we achieved .87 grams per watt after drying and curing which is on par with the results under one 750 W Black Dog XL 750. This is also approximately .10 grams per watt higher than when we ran a single 600 W HPS over the UC4XL (To be fair however, our growing knowledge and expertise has increased greatly since the old HPS days which can also factor into the increased g/w ratio.)I give this light 5 stars because of it's yield, price vs. the competition, its solid design, the versatility to just veg, bloom or both simultaneously and most importantly...the quality of the product that grew under it's spectrum.Special side note...in a 4X4 tent the folks at Advanced recommend 2 - P600 fixtures as opposed to 1 - P1200. In a 4X8 tent they recommend 4 - P600s as opposed to 2 - P1200s. This has to do with light better light coverage in these tight areas. If you're growing in a tent or other compact area, contact their support and they will give you the lighting recommendations based on your specific need. The price and total wattage draw will work out just about the same but you should achieve better results following their recommendations (and may also avoid the light burn problem I encountered). Good luck and happy growing!
