If you can find one of these discontinued units used for a good price GRAB IT before it's gone.
If you can snag these off ebay for a reasonable price grab them NOW. I got the previous version (regular CSR) off ebay bundled with a slightly used CSR Forza Motorsport style wheel for $250 for none other than Forza Motorsport years ago. Fast forward to now and it's 2018. I'm still using that old wheel and these pedals but with IRACING competitively and Project Cars 2 for fun and testing. This gear is built for abuse and I mean hours of thrashing (24hr Dayona, Spa or Lemans anyone?) and has never failed me once. Sure, the new boards with load cell tech are awesome but you've gotta pony up the bucks. Until you are at that point what can you do? Honestly, get this board if you can find one.. it won't disappoint even on a professional sim racing level. These pedals are sweet and sensitive enough that when I'm in Iracing I race with bare feet so that I can get the maximum accuracy from them while in VR with the Oculous. They are THAT sensitive, although solid and heavy as hell enough that you could drive a tank over them and they would withstand the impact. Seriously though, no natural human is going to damage this board. It's solid. One of the best things I enjoy personally about this board is the EPIC platform to rest your heels on. New boards have a smaller base which for the most part makes more sense since you only need a small nub to rest your heels on while racing. When I'm not racing I love resting my feet on that huge platform.. then when about to race sliding my heels across the platform and then up to the pedals. Even while writing this wearing socks I'm touching the pedals with my feet and then sliding my heels backwards and then propping them behind the front of the base resting my foot across the platform. Feels awesome. Great foot therapy for sore feet. (Runners anyone?) I'm finish by saying the most important thing when it comes to your sim racing gear is that it feels solid, dependable and is intimate so that when you are racing you don't need to worry about your inputs AT ALL so you can concentrate on the race and environment within the race. This board does that. If you can find one for a decent price grab it.. most have been snagged up already like classic car parts. If either the board or the wheel fails then I will upgrade. My dream is Ricmotech Real Gear ($1500 just for the loadcell pedals at the time of writing this) but ultimately being that I'm familiar with Fanatec it's going to be the Clubsport package. Until then
