This timer is well worth the price. The big numerals are clearly visible across my kitchen from 15 feet.Once the alarm sounds though, it will not start counting upwards like my last timer did. However - it does something unique - the alarm will sound for 30 seconds and then it will silence and reset to the last setting. So an example: I use a 4 minute setting to time coffee brewing, and when the alarm sounds, it will do so for only 30 seconds and then reset itself to 4:00. This makes it a "set and forget" for a single use - I don't need to physically shut it off, and it's all set up the next time I'm ready to do the same task. This is why having multiple units is useful, you can put them all over the place and dedicate them to specific functions. The downside is that if you are not in earshot for those 30 seconds, you are sunk.I bought the 3-pack and put one on the range hood in the kitchen for coffee. The magnet is strong and mounted flush, and the entire back is large enough so when you press a button it doesn't rock and fall off the mount surface. My last timer had a protruding magnet so the unit had to be secured with one hand while you punched buttons with the other or it would pitch forward and fall off the hood..The other two I put in my photo darkroom, each dedicated to a specific task so I'm not constantly reprogramming them - which makes for a simpler workflow.At these prices, makes sense to buy several. In fact, I might find other needs and order more!

Exactly, what I was looking for. Wouldn't mind if it were just a bit louder, but it's louder than what I had. Awesome price! I got 3 for less than I would've paid for 1 elsewhere.

We use these to time our sons' reading for school. They work great and they are inexpensive enough to have extra for when one gets misplaced.

Works fine but no on/off switch or auto cut off...so you have to remove the battery when not in use or it is dead within a day or two

Useful for timing while cooking
