Must buy a transformer if no existing wires
So I just received my camera a few days ago. And like othe users said theirs no instructions. And since yoir not buying it from Vivint, you’ll get no customer assistance. One thing to remember. This device needs power. So either you have an existing doorbell wires or you have to install some. I purchased a plug in transformer. You have to have a transformer because it doesn’t take regular voltage. I drilled a hole connected the device and if you already have a video package it should pair without problems I give 4* because it has no instructions and you have to search for videos. But if your a little handy it shouldn’t be a problemUpdate: I had to purchase a WiFi repeater because it kept going offline. Hasn’t stayed synchronized for a full day. Not worth the money. Changed my rating to 1* because shipping was fast. But no help from the company because you didn’t purchase from them. Personally I think the company is blocking it because I didn’t purchase from them

Worked perfectly for 2 weeks. Is just dead now as if it has no power. Seller says no return. Don't buy!!!! Total waste of money!

Frustrated
Not happy that there were no instructions in the box. No instructions for installing or for putting on Vivint panel. Also not happy that I tried calling Vivint & they would not help in anyway because it wasn't bought from them. Also thought that it should state in there that it only rings thru the Vivint panel & on smartphone. Not thru current doorbell system.
