The Ultimate Christmas Guitar Songbook: The Complete Resource for Every Guitar Player!

I have a lot of Christmas collections for guitar. This is one of the best! Very accurate transcriptions. A must have for anyone who plays and sings Christmas music with a guitar.

Great book, detailed, types of music separated

Well, to start with let me explain what I was looking for and how this book met and did not meet my expectionas. I wanted a book of xmas songs for singalongs. I wanted something I could just pick up and play from on the spot so really just lyrics and chords and melody line.Pros: This is a nice selection of Christmas carols both religious (Joy to the World O Little Town of Bethlehem) and non-religious (Rudolph, Frosty and a surprisingly fun one on guitar: Santa Baby).Cons: This is a weird mish-mash of formats.Some have what I wanted: chord diagrams at the top and then the song with chords, melody line and lyrics---however subsequent chapters are in little print in paragraphs down at the bottom of the page making it so hard to play and sing the following verses cause you don't see the chords and words together. The weird thing is the lines of lyric/melody are so spaced out that there is PLENTY of room to have printed those subsequent verses under the lyrics of the first verse. This is one of my biggest issues with this book. The other is that a few songs are in hard to sing keys so I ended up transposing them to different keys.But then there are a bunch of other formats--there's a section of really complex chorded songs which give chords as tabs rather than chord diagrams, there's another section of songs for fingerpicking, another section of classical guitar. I guess if you want to perform maybe all of these different sections might appeal to you but I could have done without those sections for sure.

The cover clearly says "Easy Guitar," and unlike some that say "Easy" only in the sense that it's easy if you're Eric Clapton, these arrangements are very easy and clearly designed for the beginning guitarist to sound good right out of the gate.The book contains a large selection of Christmas music, both secular and religious. Some come with TAB, and others have merely the melody and chord accompaniment. So for pickers or simple strummers, there's something for everyone. Old favorites and some newer songs are included. The only caveat is that most are keyed in either C or G Major, so a long set from this book will have a certain sameness of sound.But for a beginner around the holidays, this book is a treasure trove of favorites, classics, and an awful lot of fun. (Most of the lyrics are included as well for those inevitable sing-alongs.)Worth the price, and certainly a great addition to any aspiring guitarist's collection.

There are lots of songs in this book, divided by style and level of difficulty. I started guitar for the first time 4 months ago. I have been able to used this book to play a lot of songs and it still has more for me to grow into. Highly recommended.

My boyfriend had mentioned wanting to learn Christmas music. This is perfect! If you can't read music this book helps. It can be used for acoustic guitar, electric guitar, etc.

Finger style tab arrangements for other songs… Strum a long cord songs… I mean it’s got a little bit of everything

My nephew and I like this book alot. Just started teaching him guitar lessons about a month before Christmas and we were already able to play jingle bells together in December. Has songs for all difficulties. Happy with my purchase. Looking forward to playing many more songs next holiday season!

Great collection of Xmas songs. Several at a novice level of strumming with options for fingerpicking. It will a great addition to my holiday seasons over the years.
