The best cordless phone ever!
I've owned many cordless phones over the years, although the last several have all been Panasonic. I didn't think there was any room for improvement. I could not have been more wrong on this point. This new Panasonic model KX-TG6641B is absolutely incredible in terms of its quality, build quality, sound clarity, range, ergonomics, available options, ease of use and of course, its very reasonable cost. I've known for some time that Panasonic makes the best cordless phones on earth, but this new model has blown me away in every respect.Thank you for providing such an incredible product.Keep up the great work Panasonic, you're light years ahead of the competition.Aliens Above, Ghosts Below: Explorations of the UnknownBarry E. A fine phone
This device was purchased to replace a similar Panasonic product based on the features that I required - mainly dual key pads and speakerphones. All things considered, this new version seems something of an improvement. In particular, the sound quality is better and the footprint is smaller. And the address book has dramatically expanded. Unfortunately, this is at the expense of a speed dial function, which would be useful for a few frequently called numbers. My main complaint is that, to get all these features, one is paying for an often unnecessary answering machine which, happily, can be easily disabled with a single key stroke. The good news is that this phone is moderately priced and appears to be one of the best full featured phones I have encountered.

Last Home Phone I Will Buy!
Although home phone usage has dropped dramatically with the advent of cell phones, I needed a new home phone to replace my 10 year old AT&T model. Who knew? I have no idea why I waited so long for such a cool, feature rich, phone such as this one! I waited because I thought I was about to finally disconnect my home phone and join almost everyone else who has done so. I have been saying that for about 4 years... and even though I have a cell phone, reception is usually not as good as it should be.I bought this phone and it will be the last one I will ever buy since, more than likely, I will keep my home number until this dies. The features on this phone is absolutely incredible. I love the call block feature as it lets me block all those annoying recorded sales messages (inspite of being registered on the Do Not Call list) or even block those annoying collection companies. I am getting features of a business phone for the price of a home phone. Panasonic has done a wonderful job on this phone that I have recommended it to friends who still have a home phone. For those of you, like me, who has a home phone and cell phone... the sleekness of this unit is slim enough that it feels like you are holding a cell phone.I won't reiterate the great reviews on this product than what you have already read. I could list them but I won't... you can read all those reviews that are written far better than what I could say. So, with that... I recommend this phone to everyone.

Phone Set Dead After Power Outage
I installed this phone last week and enjoyed its functions immensely. But then we had an interruption in power, and the base went dead. When I called the service people, I was told that if there was a power outage and the base was dead, there was nothing to do but buy the entire system over again. Since we occasionally do have power outages, I would never buy a set from this company again. My old set went through several outages, one lasting an entire week and came back on as soon as the electricity was restored.

Great product but.....
it took more than 2 weeks to get the product.as I have ordered(which is partially my fault) on a standard delivery, it must have been jammed somewhere on its way.

Great value for money... except for a few small things.
The Panasonic KX TG6641B DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone with Anwering System is really a cordless phone system that has the potential to make you fall in love with it.My reason for getting this particular version of the system is that even if the cordless handset dies it is still easy to continue making calls from the base unit. It's also convenient to answer a call at the base instead of running around to find the handset when there is an incoming call especially if the handset ringer volume is set so low that you aren't even hearing anything but the base unit ringing. It is one of those "idiot proof layout" systems that you don't need to read anything in the booklet to operate it unless you're not at all technically inclined. The menus and options are almost everything you could possibly need in a cordless phone and the reception is excellent at reasonable distances from the base unit.It has by far the best and easiest to read display I've ever come across on a cordless, and you'll never quite get bored with how well the display is laid out and its awesome visibility. The speakerphone volume on the handset is pretty good and the speakerphone on the base unit is so loud I can't imagine any situation when you will need to use it with the volume set to the highest level unless you plan to throw a party with it. This base unit would make a perfect meeting/conference room speakerphone. All in all the system could have been a perfect one except for a few small things...Firstly, when displaying missed calls the base unit will display "Out of Area" and require you to scroll to the right to actually see who called. That is properly annoying since it's pretty obvious when you see a number on your caller ID that has a different area code that it is in fact an out of area call. I don't know if this can be changed as yet but I can't think of any sensible reason why that was chosen as the default setting. The next really silly thing is that when you punch in a number on the handset there is a "call" soft key but there is no "save" soft key. so you can't just dial a number you want to save and select "save". Again I don't know if this can be customized but it's yet another pretty dumb default setting at the very least. There is no point in having a "call" soft key when there is also a dedicated "talk" button that does exactly the same thing the "call" soft key does; Especially if putting the "call" soft key requires omitting a "save" soft key.The next thing I really wish they had improved is the redial features. It can ONLY store the last 5 dialed numbers into memory. I mean seriously ONLY 5? That is so pathetic. On a phone of this quality it is unacceptable that it can't recall at least the last 10 dialed numbers.Staying on the issue of the redial feature, hitting the redial button brings up the most drab shockingly unintelligent disappointment of a menu screen. first of all in the absence of a scroll bar there should at least be a "1/5 to 5/5" display feature, to save you the confusion of trying to remember which was the most recently dialed number when you start to scroll through the list. Also yet again there is no soft key option to save any number in this redial list; only this time, instead of filling up the soft key positions with silly redundant options, they opted for leaving one of the soft key options totally blank/unused instead of adding a soft key "save" option. Come on panasonic... What The...?Last but not least I thought it would be a nice touch also if you had the option to recall the last 10 or so phone numbers for calls you actually answered and have the option to dial back any of these numbers or save them to the phone book.Honestly I wanted to give this cordless phone system 5 stars really badly because of it's clarity and good battery life and simply because it does so many things so exceptionally well but these little oversights are annoying enough for me to only give 3 stars. Panasonic should have made the menus and options in this phone more sensible by default.
