Baked, Lay's Original Potato Crisps, 0.875 Ounce (Pack of 40)

I read some of the reviews and was a little hesitant to buy these because of the freshness problem and holes in some bags. But, a few ruined bags weren’t enough to stop me from trying them out.It ended up being a great buy! Not only were all chips great quality and flavor, none were punctured!They’re great because I’m dieting and the amount is just right for me to satisfy my hunger in between meals. I love that they’re baked so they’re healthier than regular chips. I suppose I could eat fruits to really be healthy, but come on, we all need some junk food once and a while.As for the expiration date problem, these chips aren’t just for me. My family can eat them as well of course. So I wonder if other reviewers live alone, or don’t share with their family, because we were easily able to finish them before they went bad.

carefully read what lays puts in the description so you're not surprised by what arrives :)i purchased with the knowledge my box expired within a month and i couldn't be happier! i'm absolutely addicted to these and it's getting harder and harder to find them anywhere ): now i've had a few bags and most of them have been good! there's an occasional small hard chip but i think that's something that could happen regardless of where you purchase these kinds of chips from. now the one thing that bothered me was the packaging. the bags had a decent amount of air but they were still free to bounce around the cardboard box and i think a few bags were smashed by the lid. it doesn't bother me, but it might bug someone more particular about their food. regardless of all that, i'd definitely purchase again! i'd say it's a decent value for what you get. again, don't purchase if you or your family can't consume 40 bags within the time period.

I love these and can no longer find them locally. They're a nice alternative to fried snacks, and each bag is portion-sized.Update: The Baked Crunchy Cheese Cheetos lack nothing of their fattier counterpart. They're fresh, crunchy, and flavorful. They taste just like the fried cheese puffs, but with half of the fat.

These Baked Lays are good tasting chips without all of the guilt. Yes, I prefer greasier chips, but these have less fat and fewer calories and can usually satisfy my need for some crunchy chips with a sandwich or whatnot. These small packages are great for people (like me and my husband) who can’t usually stop when eating from a full size bag. I purchased these chips for less than 50 cents a bag, which is very reasonable. The downside is their ingredients are not as impressive as regular Lays chips. These baked chips contain dried potatoes, corn starch, corn oil, sugar, sea salt, soy lecithin, dextrose and annatto extracts. Regular Lays only contains potatoes, vegetable oil and salt. The chips I received this time had a "best by" date about 5 weeks out, but that varies.

I’ll admit the expire date is within a month, but my 40 packs are always gone before they expire. I absolutely love these chips and the individual starving size. Last year when I first ordered, I was surprised when I opened the box and the packages looked like they had been thrown in the big box (it’s a huge brown shipping box). So be prepared if it’s your first order. The only negative I have is that the price has increased by about $4.

I love these Baked Lays because they satisfy my crunchy cravings without being too salty or greasy. They are a healthier alternative when I want something to go with a sandwich. I was concerned about the last shipment I got because the expiration date had passed this month, but they proved to be as crisp and flavorful as always. I'm one of those people who doesn't like flavored or spicy chips.
