The best ice bag ever!
First, thank you Amazon for carrying this bag! I have this one and the 9" bag. I am active and when I need a good ice bag this one does the job. My last one was ≈16yo when it failed. I like this size because it works well for joints like knees but does not leak. Yes, it sweats but that is to be expected. Furthermore, when I wan to stop the swelling I want as the maximum amount of coolness and i can do this with this bag. Plus, unlike zip lock bags it does not suddenly open and drain and it is flexible enough for me to hold it in place with an elastic bandage. Lastly, unlike the cloth-like bags it does not develop pin holes that leak or take forever to get cold enough to work!

does the job
this 11" bag is exactly the same as Mabis Dmi Healthcare Ice Bags - Large, 11 Inch, Blue, One which both comfortably hold 3x16 large ice cubes. I'm using them to ice my thigh after hip surgery, and the cold penetrates well through any t-shirt. If you are icing down your swelling, don't waste your money on all those flexible over priced blue gel ice packs, as they only hold cold for minutes, while (ice cube + isopropyl alcohol) or (frozen sugar water for slush) filled bag will hold cold for hours. If you must buy reusable packs, try Freez Pak 8oz Tundra bags which freeze solid and are a buck or two each wherever you buy picnic supplies.

Works well and doesn't leak
I have bought several ice bags at local pharmacies. They were all made of a plasticized fabric that always eventually allowed water to seep through them. Very annoying!I have two of these bags, which I half fill with water and then add a cup of rubbing alcohol, which creates a nice slushy consistency instead of rock hard ice. This technique is so much easier than having to mess with ice cubes, and lasts and lasts. I use ice bags daily for pain relief, so I keep one in the freezer while the other is in use.

Ice addict for 12 years!
Due to a muscle disease, I started sleeping each night, all night, with an ice pack applied to my head/neck area. As such, I have become the expert of use under tough conditions. I love the medium (this one is the large pictured) packed with ice. It usually lasts packed with ice for 8-12 hours for several months. The new trend is to cloth-like covered ice packs which truly do not hold up as well; some leaking within two days. It has become nearly impossible for me to find this rubber-like kind with greater endurance. I highly recommend this type, not the cloth-feel type, although almost no one will put it through the rigors I do.

Handy size, appears durable
This rubber-like ice bag does a great job of transmitting cold temperatures and so far appears to be durable. The seal is tight, no leaks and the material appears that it will wear well. I use this for lower back issues and consequently it is subjected to a fair amount of pressure between my back and the chair seat or back, so I was interested in being sure I bought a durable bag. So, 11 days' use to date with no problems and good satisfaction.

Great for Relief of Back Problems
If you get back aches while sitting or lying down...put down those pills, fill this bag with ice and get instant relief without side effects. This particular ice bag is well made. I recommend that you insert it in two zippered bags to prevent getting wet. After a few hours, any bag can have leaks through condensation. I use this on all my flights across the country.

Excellent ice bag.
Recently had total knee replacement. This ice bag is perfect for icing down my knee to reduce swelling and pain. I fill it with about 25 ice cubes. After about 20 to 30 minutes on my knee I put the ice bag in the freezer. After it re-freezes I put in a small amount of water to loosen the ice up to form around the knee. Use a lot less ice this way.

Love it!!
My husband had one for more than 10 years and then it finally broken. We got one "look like" the old one in Wal-Mart and the quality was far less than the first one. Finally we found this on Amazon and it was much softer rubber than the Wal-Mart one and works as good as the old one last for a long time!! Great product if you have headache often!!!
