I’ve never seen art like this in comic books it’s like grounded and realistic as possible with Paint brush strokes.. Alex Ross proves his difference in art from others, the story is more Grounded and realistic compared to other DC stories I’ve loved.. it focuses on real life problems like world hunger, disease, corruption in governments not really my taste but the art made up for it.

The cover on this item is diffirent than the one shown in the picture. Besides that, it collects the sames stories. They are heartfelt and will make you think. This is good item to buy if you don't want to spend up to $75 on the absolute version. You, yes, YOU reading this review need to buy this right now. The content you get for around $20 is insane. And these stories can be read and loved by someone who has never even touched a graphic novel.Update: Amazon has changed the cover, and it matches the item you will receive.

The story and art were all 5 stars. I was glued to this book for hours. Just all around wonderful and a must-read and must-have book in your collection. Do yourself a favor and buy this book. You won't regret it.

Such a beautiful experience to read and behold, superior writing and characterization paired with art that elevates these heroes to something even higher. A great jumping on point for these characters, or just someone who wants to enjoy a story about superheroes tackling remarkably real problems.

This is heroism at its finest. Inspiring, humbling, and pleasurable to read. The richness of the art and masterful storytelling make this collection worthy for comic fan and casual reader alike.

Alex Ross, needless to say, is the king, and Dining helps to perfectly shape a concept that allows Ross to shine. This is a treasured part of my collection.

This is such an incredible book. If you don't like DC, but can appreciate amazing artwork, then buy for Alex Ross' art alone. The man is mega talented and will not disappoint you.

Every story in this book is written beautifully by writer Paul Dini, who writes each characters story in such a way it's like the members of the Justice League are narrating each characters story themselves.The artwork by Alex Ross has such incredible detail, each of the panels are so beautifully done, you could frame it and, hang it on your wall. Alex Ross illustrates the most impressive superhero characters I've ever seen.Overall, a very impressive book.

Alex ross is the the best artist in the comic book industry ever. The book itself is a masterpiece. Something that should be preserved for generations. All the characters are very realistic as how they would look if they existed in real. But his wonder woman design is exceptional, something the movie version failed to create. All other characters are also breathtaking.
