Size Name:Twin | Style Name:Exposed Combining the elegance of traditional styling with the precision and technology of modern day design.Thermostatic control to +/- 2 to 3 °C even if the water pressure fluctuates. In the event of hot or cold water failure, the valve will shut down the water supply providing full thermal protection and prevents scalding. The patented cartridge is highly resistant to calcium build up - even in hard water areas. Our valves are suitable for use with all systems: gravity fed pumped unvented high pressure or fully modulated combi-boilers.Excellent flow rates - even at low pressure, the valve requires a minimum of 0.1 bar of pressure to be fully functional. The cartridge is fully reversible meaning if hot and cold supplies are the wrong way round it doesn't need re-plumbing; simply remove the cartridge, turn 180° and replaceThe valve is manufactured from solid brass with a luxury chrome finish. Poor quality cartridge that is impossible to replace
We bought this direct from Amazon and were very happy with the packaging and delivery. However, the quality of the cartridge and Hudson Reed’s service has been awful. The valve worked fine until about 16 months after we purchased it, and then the shower started to drip.I contacted Hudson Reed customer service. We were told: "the shower on/off valves can get debris in side and stop from shutting off. You can take out the on/off valve and rinse through to clean out or buy a new stock cock (the whole assembly the on/off valve fits inside)".I took it apart and cleaned it but it still kept dripping, so our shower is permanently wet and really hard to keep mould free.I went back to their customer service to explain I’d cleaned the valve but the shower was still dripping. The response was that their cartridges wear out in hard water areas, such as London where we live. Despite the fact that they advertise these as 'highly resistant to calcium build up - even in hard water areas'. They wouldn't sell me a replacement cartridge, only the whole on/off valve unit which retails at over £60 + VAT (half of what the whole valve cost). None of the other various taps we installed at the same time in our flat, supplied by Bathstore, need repair.I went to a local plumbers merchant and found a replacement cartridge that fits perfectly. However, when I tried to reassemble the valve, the bolt that secures the lever was too small for the new cartridge. My wife and I have searched high and low for months to find a bolt that fits but can find nothing. All of the parts are custom made and have to be bought direct from the manufacturer at an extortionate price. The valve looks lovely but we're now going to have to replace it with something that uses standard parts. We can't afford to spend so much money replacing the cartridge, and the casing that it screws into, every 18 months.Very disappointed!

Heavy & solid unit and functions well
Solid construction and materials. The little "H&R" handle screw cap doesn't have a fantastic 'fit' but it's ok.There are gauze filters in both water inlets which are nice.Thermostat control works nicely and doesn't have much of a pressure drop through it.

very well made
very well made , keeps the water maintained at a constant temperature as fed from an unvented cylinder which stores the water at about 55 degrees , if the cartridge lasts we shall see however easy to change if there is a problem.

Beautiful piece, packaged superbly
Beautiful piece, packaged superbly. The outer box dented but the inner one with the item in it, was swathed in foam. Very pleased with this luxurious piece.

Don't do it!
I bought this (along with the matching riser, sink taps, bath taps, etc) because they were beautiful and stylish and I wanted a good quality product, which I believed Hudson Reed were, and they had a 20 year guarantee. Brilliant!12 months later and the shower is dripping profusely. Causing a mould problem in my carefully put together bathroom. The on/off lever does not unscrew to change the ceramic valve (which should not need changing yet, but clearly does). I emailed Hudson Reed for help with unscrewing the handle so I could access the valve and was told the only option was to buy a whole new unit for the shower at a cost of £90, which will presumably only last 12 months again.Shocking product, terrible service, and environmentally damaging. Avoid Hudson Reed or you'll regret it.

Poor quality
We wanted good quality product, that’s why we bought Hudson Reed. We bought this with the matching riser. They certainly look beautiful. But very disappointed with the quality of this shower all together. Just over 2 years I had to replace the thermostatic stopcock, and looks like the shower head needs replacing. Bear in mind the spare parts for this shower is definitely not cheap. I would not recommend this at all.
