IHOME Wireless Charging 2 Alarm CLOCKR

This is the only thing I found that was attractive and had the feature set I wanted. It's a quality product. Sturdy, attractive, and does everything it promises. I am giving 5 stars to help balance out the average because I think it's a 4.5 star product. I just have some very minor gripes that I will express in case these would be major gripes for someone else -1. Instructions are wrong. It's the second electronic product I have purchased this month where that was the case. So, it maybe it's a new new trend. In this case, it's specifically about the pairing. Don't try to follow "Step 1" - it won't work and it's not necessary.2. Many people have complained about the brightness level on other sites. I can deal with it on the lowest setting, but can also understand why someone else couldn't. Also, if I accidentally turn the unit off, it puts it back on the brightest setting and I have to adjust it again.

I like having a bedside clock I can look at during the night, and I always need my phone to charge overnight as well, so a combo clock/charger was a solution to help me de-clutter my nightstand. I had a previous cheaper design from another company where the wireless charging was incredibly inconsistent and the clock light was really bright, and I hated it. This one has worked flawlessly. It is obvious where the phone needs to go to charge properly, and the charge light is not bright and distracting. The light on the clock itself isn't annoyingly bright, either. I use my phone for the alarm, and have never used the speaker, so can't comment on those portions, but if you want a clock you can see that will charge your phone wirelessly, this was worth the extra money.

As others have complained, this is too bright for a bedroom. It lights up the room like a nightlight. But there is a fix.GOOD: Nice design, Wireless charging, Works well as a bluetooth speaker.AVERAGE: Sound quality is ok. Its not at the level of Bose or Sony, but its ok and definitely loud enough.BAD: Its too bright. Even on its lowest setting it lights up a dark room. And when charging a phone, it has a bight green light that keeps flashing on and off - its very annoying.FIXED: You can pop off the fabric front panel using a butter knife, I suggest a plastic one so you don't damage the other plastic parts. There are 8 pressure connectors, 3 on the left, 3 on the right, 1 in the top middle and 1 on the bottom middle. The front fabric panel comes off very easily with some gentle prying. Then use this dimming sheet https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006R0VWSG/ Cut the dimming sheet to slightly larger than the number display. Then wipe the number display and the dimming sheet with rubbing alcohol to clean both. The dimming sheet will stick to the display, just rub any air bubbles out. Then pop the fabric front panel back on.To fix the flashing green light, either use the same dimming sheet to dim it or cover it with black electrical tape. The green light is on the bottom of the alarm clock, so no one will see the tape.

I’ve had this clock for about 4-5 months now. It connects quickly and the sound is decent for such a small device. One thing that I’ve discovered is that the display can be turned off! I had no idea! Over the past month or so, I have accidentally dimmed the display and turned it off a time or two, but I finally figured out how to turn it off thanks to a last ditch effort to rid my room of that dreaded blue light so that I could get some shut eye before the toddlers wake up. All you have to do is place your hand over the display. I placed my palm over it in a downward motion and it went from bright, low, and then off. Another review that I read for this was to purchase a dimmer sheet, which I did, but it didn’t help whatsoever. Don’t waste your money on the sheet.

I really wanted to give this product 5-stars and was looking forward to getting and using it based on the feature set, price point and design. I removed a star for each major issue:- the product packaging was open and banged up. To be clear this was the manufacturer’s packaging not the amazon external packaging which was great- the product highlights a great speaker. The sound quality is poor especially for calls where everything sounds very deep (high bass low treble). For music it’s on par with a $10 small speaker.- there doesn’t seem to be a way to control the sound profile on the speaker (eg. bass and treble), which seems like a useful feature for the app to have- the mic pickup is bad. Every person I called had the same feedback: “You sound distant” regardless of the call type (cellular, WiFi, Skype etc.). Even being close to the device (2 inches). Tried several phones and several calls. This makes the mic feature useless. Also, if the phone is not resting on the device, the mic will pickup a buzzing sound that’s annoying for the person your speaking to- the “enhanced” app is limited in features and confusing at best.- Bluetooth connectivity is confusing. On an iPhone it has two Bluetooth links it can do, one is to the app and the other is to the device. The former is for configuration and using the app. The later is for actually using the Bluetooth speaker and mic.Perhaps I got a one-off device that was damaged (see first bullet), however, based on my experience this device is an overpriced wireless charger and alarm clock. The other features are practically useless. Surprising for an iHome product

En remplacement de mon précédent ihome. Tout simplement parfait. Design élégant. Il charge l’iPhone sans problème via l’induction. Le port USB à l’arrière permet de brancher autre chose donc impeccable. La luminosité est réglable et peut même être éteinte pour la nuit. Le son est pal mal pour la taille mais ce n’est pas une chaîne hifi!Attention ne fait pas radio.Je ne comprends les mauvais commentaires. Les gens ne doivent pas avoir lu la notice qui est en plusieurs langues dont le français.Je recommande. C’est mon troisième ihome est je suis pleinement satisfait.
