Would be 5 stars if it showed the right time
Decent bit of kit with good sound. Always showing the wrong time though even though it’s set to the right time zone. No matter how many times I manually change it, it always goes back

I don't recommend this at all
I was massively disappointed with this and have gone back to using my old alarm clock. It is terribly hard to set up and use, you have to hold it with two hands to use the controls, it doesn't dim (I had to drape it in a cloth at night), the sound is very thin and with Internet radio you don't see the track being played. I have run out of time to send it back so am out of pocket, but I will be passing this on to a charity shop.

Beware the reviews - similar looking models are quite different
Pure have issued many similar sized and near-identical looking sets. Amazon have mixed up the reviews too. At the top of the page, the radio shown is the IR5. It is an Internet radio and does not have DAB. Most of the reviews and answered questions here relate to a different set, e.g. the Elan BT3 and Elan E3 (Both have DAB but not Internet). Another Pure Internet radio, the Elan IR3, like the IR5 but without Spotify, had just been discontinued. We had to buy a used one; it is brilliant. DAB would not have attracted 5 stars from here. The choice is not comparable; DAB may receive 100 stations in London, Internet Radio will receive 25,000, by using a Wi-Fi or mobile phone signal.Perhaps Pure have decided to end such confusion. Their latest model is cheaper than the listing for this pictured model, yet has Internet, FM and DAB - follow this link to a much better value set that we have not tested - Pure ELAN CONNECT All-In-One Internet Radio with DAB and Bluetooth 5.0 (DAB/DAB+ Digital Radio, FM Radio, Internet Radio, TFT Display, 20 Presets, Battery Usage), Charcoal

Great set. Manual poor.
The instructions that came with the set were all over the place. Best to find them online. Otherwise it’s a very good little radio.

Good internet radio
Unlike some of the other Pure devices reviewed here, the IR series are NOT DAB radios! I bought this radio as DAB reception is poor in our house (and non-existent once I turn on LED lighting), so an internet radio is ideal. Audio is good for the size, with basic tonal adjustment easy to do. The only reason I haven't given it five stars is that it takes about 40 seconds to connect to the wi-fi upon switch on, which is a little tedious. All-in-all, well-built with a reasonably 'solid' feel

rubbish sound, but at least I don't have to listen to the Archers anymore
Very poor sound compared to my last Roberts radio, a menu system designed by crystal maze.Clearly not worth £100Unless, like me, you can't stand to hear 'The Archers' on Radio 4 one more time. Or desire to prove your intellectual chops by sitting through another dirge on Radio 3. In which case it's worth every penny.

Good little unit that does the job!
Would prefer on off button on the top.
