Product Description A single origin, pure Arabica coffee grown by smallholder farmers in the high, fertile lands of the Machu Picchu region. Grown on some of the steepest slopes in the Andes, with smallholdings found along the Inca trail itself, the beans are hand cultivated and picked with the utmost care and expertise. The high altitude, fertile volcanic soil and unique microclimate of the Machu Picchu region result in a coffee with light acidity and full body. Sun-drying preserves the qualities of this coffee giving it extra sweetness and flavour. Beans are slowly dried, developing their natural characteristics using a hand-crafted process. Particularly delicious when accompanied with a chocolate treat.
