Awesome hoops
I bought a Ludwig black beauty some 10+ yrs. ago, and the hoops were getting slightly pitted, these hoops are way better than what came with my snare, and it was around $650 when I bought it new. Replaced batter and snare hoops, very happy with them.

Using this die-cast hoop on the batter side with a triple-flanged hoop on the snare side of a 5.5x14 maple snare drum with a coated Ambassador head (1x10mil). Great sound. Really took away some of the overtones. I have 2 other 5.5x14 maple snare drums and wanted to give all 3 snare drums a unique sound. The 2nd one has triple-flanged hoops on both sides with a coated Ambassador X head (1x12mil). The 3rd one has triple-flanged hoops on both sides with a ebony Emperor head (1x7.5mil+1x7mil).

I Can Hear The Difference!
This one matches the bottom hoop. They allow my 5x14 Ludwig Vistalite snare to crack like a shotgun!
