e.l.f. Studio Eyebrow Kit, 81302 Medium

This is my first time using an eyebrow gel so I can't compare this to other gels out there. But I am really happy with the results. After some practice, I was able to get my brows to look really nice and natural. Glad I got the medium color. I'm a dark Latina (somewhere between Rosario Dawson and Zoe Saldana) and the dark definitely would have been too dark.A couple of tips for best results:1. The included brush sucks, as other reviews have mentioned. Use a good brush and you'll be fine.2. The gel can have trouble sticking in thinner areas of your eyebrows. Apply an initial layer of the powder *first* so the gel has something to grab onto. Once you have the gel where you want, apply another layer of powder on top of that.3. Remember that the gel goes on light but looks darker once you apply the powder on top of it. Plan accordingly, using more gel in sparse areas and just a light touch in fuller areas of the brow. Doing so will avoid the crayola eyebrow look.

I wasn't sure which color to try and this was a little dark for my kind of light eyebrows. I also got the blonde set. This is what I have discovered, The cream line maker of the light set works good for me, The powder of this set works better for me when I use alone. Obviously we all have different color needs for makeup, and my eyebrows are a mix of sun bleached, brown and a few grey hairs. By mixing the two sets and utilizing what color I want, I can create different levels of drama or lack of) with my eye brows. The affordability of e.l.f. makeup makes it easy.

For an inexpensive product it is so superior the eyebrow pencils I had used for years. I was surprised the powder stays on and lasts - I have hit my 60's and my eyebrows were fading and thinning, they now look better than ever before. I did use another brush from a powdered eyebrow product that ran out and did not work nearly as well so the other reviews about the included brush are correct,,it is too small.

Works great for me. My eyebrows are a little too thin and lighter than I like. I've been filling them in with just plain eyeshadow for years. This stuff works awesome though! One side is gel and the other is powder. I had to wipe off some of the gel to avoid them looking too fake, but they look really nice now. Also, pretty packaging!

I like this kit, however the cream product in it is a bit too hard for me. If I warm it up or work with it a bit it does a good job, I just would prefer it to be a little easier to work with. Super great for the price obviously, and I don't regret the buy at all.
