Amflo 503HR-RET "Knock Down" Manual Hose Reel

This was a gift for my husband for an air compressor hose and it works perfectly for what he needed! It holds 100 feet of hose quite well and the cranking operation is very smooth.The frame is sturdy and mounts on the wall quite nicely. This was a very good purchase!

The functionality for the future looks bright…with just a few changes. I changed the hose to a 1/4” 100’ air hose and had to reverse all the fittings and did a 3/8 to 1/4” hose connection. As it was it felt completely backwards to me so after to modifications and knuckle scraping, I get to leave the compressor outside or in the vehicle. Once the changes were made and after a bit of use I see my self holding on to this for a long time. Be warned though. At the end it’ll be close to like $230.

Works good as designed. Needed a simple and cost effective solution to 50 ft of air hose. This fit the bill.

ALOT SMALLER THEN IT LOOKS! That was my first disappointment. It’s made to work backwards from what I thought. It’s made to plug in with the hose and then carry the whole unit away from the compressor, then attach your air tools to the side double connectors. I had a 25 ft hose so I redid the hose connector on the unit to accept my tools and ran my 25 ft hose(only really need about 5ft of hose) between the compressor and one of the double connectors on the side of the unit. It works fine this way. Just didn’t expect to have to modify it. Who wants to carry the whole unit out to your car to put air in a tire. Now after modified I can just grab the hose and go, then real it back in.

No leaks and very sturdy. Easy to reel and no problem at all so far.

Price is reasonable and seems sturdy enough given its price. I actually have 150 ft of hose and was surprised to find that, if I wound it on carefully, this would just barely hold all of it. The arms holding the hose could be longer but they suffice for 100 ft of hose as advertised.Quality; One of the arms was slightly twisted but not enough to be a significant issue. The spring tension that is intended to keep it from unspooling could be higher. I have mine mounted fairly high (at about 5 ft from the floor) and it works fine until there are maybe 2 1/2 feet of hose, with air nozzle, hanging from it...at which point it will unspool on its own until the hose reaches the floor. You need to keep the hose wound all the way on when stored.Other: I found it odd that they provided a 90 degree air line fitting with no explanation as to its purpose. It actually isn't needed since the hose on the spool can screw directly into the fitting on the inside of the axle. Instead, you will need a straight quick change male/male fitting to screw into the end of the axle to attach the hose from your air source (not provided).

Works great had a little problem with a part being bent during shipping but worked it out and it works great.
