Finerfilters Fluidised Bed Filter with Hosepipe connections

Very inexpensive way to pre dry the air for a 300 bar compressor used for airguns and paintball guns.Be aware the internal filter container is a little short but this allows for a disc of filter material you can obtain from the supplier to be cut and placed at the base acting as a great pre filter for solids. The inner filter container was filled with fine grain A3 zeolite - cheap but more effective a desiccator than silica gel and the fine beads mean no tracking (short circuit through the medium) was possible.The inner was weighed before use and can be check weighed to assess the water adsorbed. The ¾" connectors can be used for hose connection to the compressor or you can soon find a real mechanical hose to look a little more professional and fix the filter to the wall with the bracket provided for a professional looking finish. Post compression air is passed through a coconut charcoal filter for ultimate clean up from oils etc.Spend a very few quid and save your gun from expensive water damage.

On the face of it this looks well made and strong but this one had a major flaw. The inner canister would not seal against the screw on top. When fully tightened down the top seal would not make contact with the canister. Everything was in place as it should be but no way would it seal. I had to place some rubber under the base of the canister to raise it 4 or 5mm before it would seal. Now works as it should but I shouldn’t have to do this with a brand new item
