Great book for all semester mechanical as well as for civil branch also overall book is very good for semester exam and for GATE exam.

Very usable book for diploma or state engg colleges. Don't think about it for GATE OR UPSC.

Go For it If you want to practice only numericals.For theory refer some Foreign Author.

This book is not appropriate for strength of material. Dont buy if you are a begineer. The content was understable but as a reference book it is not appropriate as it dosent have much details. Numericals are too good but without hint of theory sometimes it is hard to go for numericals so I would suggest go for ss rattan, rk bansal as it contains both numericals and enough theory as base for solution of problem. Or Instead buy schand rs khurmi and jk gupta version of strength of material.

This book is good for study & communities exam. Most of the exam question are same as this book questions types. Lot of questions of beams.Amazon packaging is not good. My book have little bit damage. But condition is good.
