Fits well , and works well
So far so good , filled my take and float is correct , let’s see how the Atlantic Ocean treats it .

Easy to set up and install
Built-In gas tank in a pontoon boat

Best quality replacement.
After making two simple measurements and cuts to create the same rod length as original, this unit fits and operates perfectly. Highly recommended product.

Perfect fit and easy to install.
The one I ordered was for a fuel tank 4-12", the one I received was for a 4-28" tank. Just easy cutting of the sensor rod. Hang on to the original fasteners as the ones supplied may be different.

Easy to fit to my needs.
Seems well made. The unit was easy to get to fit perfectly for my application which in my case was a 1989 Cushman Turf Truckster. Fuel gauge works just fine now.

Quality part
My boat gas gauge was intermittently working, not working, and having seizures. I made an educated guess that the sender unit was the problem, and installed this Moeller Fuel Tank Sender Unit in less than an hour (no, I am not a professional mechanic). Of course I left out a few steps, like draining the gas tank and doing a pressure test. But since the sender is installed at the TOP of the tank on my boat, gravity is in my favor. This sender unit is American manufactured, which I prefer when I need quality control like an electrical part in a gas tank. This sender has stainless steel rods, comes with a rubber gasket, and replacement stainless steel installation screws that come with a sealing compound at their heads. The rods are plenty-long, and can be cut to size. The only puzzling part is the clamp that holds the float rods together; for some reason its screw is made from regular steel. I would have paid an extra nickel for that to be stainless, too. Most importantly, my fuel gauge is working perfectly and has lost all seizure activity.

Make sure to get the right size - these universal fits are more difficult to install
This unit was to replace an old inoperative sender. It was difficult to install for two main reasons. The bracket that holds the sensor is angled rather than strait which caused the unit to bind going into the fuel tank. The other more serious problem was that the screws supplied had the wrong thread pitch for the fuel tank inserts. This caused some damage to the inserts before I figured out the problem. I then used the old screws instead, but had to re-cut the threads to get the screws in. The 'universal' kit involved cutting the swing arm on the sensor and the float arm to an appropriate length then clamping the two pieces together. This sounds easy, but it was very fiddley since the float needed to be horizontal and the angled bracket holding the sensor was at 45 degrees to the vertical and you have to get the length just right. Once installed it seems to work, though I may go to a vertical sensor in the near future.

Did the job.
I can’t stand to not know how much fuel my boat has. Paddles don’t cut it. This worked great and now I know I have 3/4 of a tank or there about.
