Beautiful Dancing
This Nederlands Dans Theater DVD was out of print for ages and the only used copies available cost more than $100.00. I was so happy when it was reissued and for such a reasonable cost. Jiri Kylian's choreography is amazing and, if you like dance, you'll enjoy this dvd.

A very fluid and acrobatic variation of classical ballet
Have you heard of Jiri Kylian. he was taught choreography by the most strict and controlled dance mastersand immediately started a very fluid form of modern and callical choreographyThese are his best dances and very well performed. Just a great set of works

Exactly what I wanted
Got this to share with my dance students to help light their fire over ballet. I absolutely love it, and it really perked up my students interest. Seriously the most beautiful DVD ever.

‘Classical economy married to explosive energy’
The Amazon review I quote above captures the translucent brilliance of Kylian’s choreography. This DVD offers some of the most haunting sequences in all of contemporary dance: it is worth getting for Sarabande and Petite Mort alone. For lovers of dance, Kylian needs no introduction of course. To others—and I first watched this with a man with no particular interest in dance—you are in for a discovery! There are many excellent choreographers out there, but Kylian’s Mozart-like lucidity is in a league of its own.

Amazing on blu-ray
I don't know much about modern ballet/dance, but I know what I like, and this disc blew me away. It was Chroma on the Wayne McGregor disc which I bought around the time of Darcey Bussell's retirement that made me realise how magic modern dance can be. Since then I have tried a few other discs, and this is by far the most enjoyable so far.The image of the back of the case shows it to be upscaled to 1080i and to have only a PCM stereo soundtrack, so I was prepared to be disappointed. I should not have worried. The video has upscaled beautifully, and the 48k 16 bit audio never disappointed. The performance itself amazed me, from the first dance with it's crazy staccato movements to Reich's drumming, through comedy and some almost conventional ballet to the final dance which seemed to me more like scenes from some dark sci-fi horror until Bach's violin music surfaced almost at the end, the varied choreography and the dancers' execution of it put a smile of pure enjoyment on my face. This is another disc which makes me want to search out even more modern dance. Could it do the same to you?

The two Mozart ballets are superb
Prefer Kilian to choreograph music I can listen to. Sinfonietta is great, as are the two Mozarts here

We have quite a large collection of modern dance D.V.D s mostly by Ballet Rambert directed by Christopher Bruce. We thought this looked interesting but in fortunately we were quite disappointed with the choreography and dancers in general. Not up to Ramberts standards by any means!
