Great book! This book may have been written years ago but its information is very timely!

Interesting book

If you are looking for training games for a general audience, not a specific audience or subject matter, then this would be a really good book. There are many fun games provided here that would be beneficial for training like teambuilding, leadership skills, etc. I recommend it for these more general topics.

Great book at a great value.

A trainer knows a book is going to be a good resource when they keep nodding their head as they read thinking "that's right" or "what a great idea" at the beginning. As a long-time trainer and team-building facilitator, The Big Book of Low-cost Training Games had me hooked in the first 2 units - before even looking at the activities. As I perused the activities and games within the 4 categories offered, I recognized a few that I have seen in workshops, saw variations on some tried-and-true training aids, and found several new options. The 4 sections in the book cover activities from training icebreakers, energizers, puzzles, ways to build teams, and debriefs of learning. I selected 2 of my favorites from the 51 in this book to highlight on my business leadership and productivity blog since it is read by many in HR and training fields. Most of the activities do not require special materials. For those activities where materials are needed, most can be bought at hardware or sporting goods stores. To make shopping easier, the book concludes with a list of what materials are needed for more than one activity. This makes buying a few items stretch to multiple uses within training programs.

I have used and continue to use many of the activities in this book. Jim Cain is the trainers' trainer, and the insights he provides in this book are outstanding.

de bons exercices qui donnent de nouvelles idées... A appliquer avec des variantes en fonction de l'utilisation car on peut modifier toujours pour combiner team building avec communication, etc...Bon, de toute façon, j'aime beaucoup cette collection

Good book with some creative ideas but unless you have lots of space, some of these just aren't achievable. I am a trainer and unfortunately there are some exercises in here which I just can't use. The book was really cheap so in perspective its handy.
