I had high hopes for this boresighter and was impressed when it arrived overnight. I immediately installed the battery after seeing a review which showed how to properly do it. Battery is installed with the positive side down which is totally non-intuitive since there is no contact in the bottom of the tube. There were no battery installation instructions and initially, because I installed it positive side up (contact to contact), but it didn't work. Thought the battery was dead. Looked at reviews and found help. Turned it on and got a strong bright greed dot which did not expand much at distance. The caliber fittings are rubber, not plastic like on my cheap red dot boresighter, so I used the fittings for my red dot. There were two of the second largest size which should have been for .22 caliber but after stretching over the end of stem, it would not fit in the bore of my .22 cal. weapon. I changed to the smallest size which should have been for .17 cal. and it fit loosely in the .22 bore. I changed to the plastic one from my red dot boresighter. Using the iron sights, I quickly found that the laser needed adjustment but unfortunately that won't happen for a couple of days because just then, the battery died. Since I don't have a charger for this particular battery, we'll see how it works in a universal battery charger. The instructions say three CR44 batteries will work but there are no instructions on how to make that happen and when I tried three they were half the length of the 14520 so they wouldn't make contact and just rattled around loosely in the tube. I presume the included battery is rechargeable because that's the claim on many identical ones listed on Amazon but that's not mentioned in the instructions either. If I can get it working and adjusted this should be a fairly functional boresighter at a very reasonable price for a green dot laser. Otherwise, it's just the usual Chinese junk.

Waiting for the replacement...the first one worked for exactly 1 minute. Gotta do better.Update: received replacement, it did not work either...could not find the correct battery anywhere even at Batteries Plus. Will go to an actual store for my next scope !!! This was a waste of time and money.

I received this boresight item with a dead battery! ! ! Come on guys! No too happy! Its a hard to find battery in my neck of the woods...

Everything works great but the battery it came with about 5 minutes after it was installed

stopped working within 12 hours (switched on 2-times), waiting for new battery delivery and hoping that is the problema 20 and 12 gauge adapter would make it the perfect bore sighter

This thing does not work. Waste of time and money A zero rating. Very disappointed.
