Among The Best Insoles Out There And Are Podiatrist Recommended
The Powerstep Protech was recommended to me by my Podiatrist and I concur with her that these fall into the elite category of insoles out there and I have tried so many as I have had a few foot problems over the years. These excel at stability with very firm arch support and flawless metatarsal support as well. With all this stiffness, they still are extremely comfortable so you get that great combination. The only downside for me, however, is that they have very limited cushioning. If you are using these in nice cushioning sneakers, this is not necessarily a negative as the sneaker does the cushioning. I like extra cushioning for long walks and hikes even with good cushioning sneakers so for that I use New Balance Motion Control insoles which are not quite as firm as Powersteps but cushion about a million times better on the heel and a billion times better on the forefoot. NB Motion Controls are a little thicker so especially for high instep people may not work in every shoe. Low volume feet people will have no problem with Motion Controls. If you want to put Powersteps in stiff hiking boots, realize how little cushioning there will be but if you are carrying weight, then maybe you want the maximum support that these provide. Also, for people who stand for long periods, Powersteps should absolutely be tried for their superior support and comfort. Can also be considered for bicycling if they fit in a close fitting shoe like that. For ultra thin insoles that work great in bicycling shoes, skates, dress/casual shoes, football cleats, ski boots, etc., consider the Pedag Viva (leather) or the Pedag Viva Winter (wool). Pedag are German designed and the #1 selling insoles in Germany so do you think they aren't good? The Superfeet ultra thin model is also worth considering as well as the Specialized innersoles sold in bicycle shops. Specialized has models for a variety of arch conditions and the shops are trained to fit you to the model you need so don't be concerned if you are not bicyclist as these are superior insoles for any sport or application for thin insoles.

Got a different item than ordered. Update-Really Great from 'Rectified'
The 'Power Step Protech Control' IS great, but I received the 'Pinnacle' when I ordered this, not what I ordered and not like the photo or description. So BE AWARE. I'd be really upset if I did not have free pick-up and returns with Prime. The 'Pro Control' design is great and worth 5 stars. This 'Pinnacle' was not what I wanted and had a poor, low, flexible, arch. If you have a pressure spot you can easily mark it and grind a little off of the bottom of a 'Pro Control', using a Dremel-like tool with sanding disk (barrel type, brown) like my podiatrist does. The PRO CONTROL is identicle to the type used and much lower cost on Amazon. If this was like the photo it would be given raves but I was sent the 'Pinnacle' which gets a 1 star. Get the 'Pro', Amazon has it, with the photo of the box, and it works best for me. I returned it with Prime. I do not recommend ordering this one through Stable Step, LLC, would not buy again from them (no 'sorry or email of concern), and I hope this helps someone.Update: The CONTROL is really great and I have about 5-6 of them, no hassle returning the wrong one's sent, the difference by name is very little but look for CONTROL in the title and be sure it is black not blue, and has a gray hard bottom. I FEEL these are great for me, maybe not for you, but I give them 5 stars. They are much better than OTC and a great price on Amazon. I recommend these that my podiatrist recommends and understand why. The latest arrived 2 days before the suggested time span. Great-early.

Love my powerstep
Received the following day and they were exactly as I expected. I wear these in my shoes and needed another pair of insoles for a new pair of sneakers I purchased. Great service. I love these inserts. Give support and no pain.

Finally, plantar fasciitis relief that worked for me
I have now been using these insole orthotics for several years. Some reviewers have commented that they don't last well, but I have not found that to be the case at all. I have three pairs of shoes I wear regularly to work and these are in every pair. They have held up beautifully for over 18 months.I have plantar faciitis and these were not only alleviated pain better than the custom orthotics I bought through my podiatrist, they cost much, much less and were more comfortable to wear. Note that these are substantial enough that you will need to use them only with shoes that have a low or removable insole; since they are an insert, they require some available height inside the shoe. These have been so effective for me that in the last month or so, I have been able to use some shoes without them. I am very happy with, and grateful for, these inserts.

5 stars for the insoles and 6 stars for the Amazon Marketplace seller
5 stars for the insoles and 6 stars for the Amazon Marketplace seller, Discount Medical. I’ve been using the Powerstep Protech Control insoles for the last 6 years for my day-to-day and for tennis and have found them to be the best over-the-counter insoles out there. Initially recommended to me by my podiatrist, I found their supportive arch and heal to be ideal for my needs. Over the years, I’ve tried numerous other brands, but none have come close to the Powerstep. 6 stars for the seller because of their understanding and quick response to replacing 1 of the 2 insoles I purchased. The blue heal cup cushion, normally quite durable, separated from the insoles after 4 hours of tennis play. I contacted Discount Medical and within 1 week, I was provided with a no charge replacement.
