A2527 Laptop Battery Replacement for MacBook Pro 16" A2485 (Late 2021 Version) EMC 3651 [Li-Polymer 11.45V 8700mAh]

Had a Macbook 13" Early 2015 with a bad battery.Interesting story: the person that brought this Macbook to me had originally contacted Apple and they had recommended he take the laptop to an 'approved third-party Apple repair centre' called Stormfront. The centre took it in and eventually called him back. They said that there was evidence of waterdamage, even though he doesn't ever recall spilling liquid on it (most likely moisture in the air if it uses those over-sensitive moisture sensors) and that it would cost ~£600 to repair.When he said he didn't want it repaired and took it back, they still charged him ~£40 for labour and turns out they didn't plug the keyboard cable back in, so it was unusable when he got it back...This is when he took it to me. I've spent just under £60 for this battery and a Macbook repair screwdriver/spudger kit and got it working like new (also plugged the keyboard back in...)£600 to repair? Ha!As for the battery, its as you would expect. There are cellophane-type covers on it that you can pull off to expose the adhesive and on the top to hold the battery together better. I would recommend you do a trial line-up before you stick it down to make sure you know where is the right place- the last thing you want is sticking down the battery and realising the charging bit doesn't line up with the port on the motherboard!

Packaging lovely and great kit to help. The battery worked perfectly for one day then stopped being able to retain power for more than 4-5 seconds. i haven’t been able to return it as I had opened and installed and there was no option for a refund. Incredibly disappointed and has left me stranded with a laptop battery that functions worse than the one I had before.

I looked on Amazon at the replacement batteries available and this battery and website seemed a good place to purchase.The new battery came within two days of ordering it and in well packaged in a cardboard box.An IT technician fitted the battery at my home for half the cost of Apple replacing the battery.As can be read on other reviews here, the original battery was glued into position and had to be carefully prised out. The connector ribbons, especially the ribbon to the keyboard needed to be eased away and they were quite hard to undo.The screws connecting the back of the laptop and the battery are of different sizes and need to be replaced in the right order.After the battery had been replaced I followed the instructions on YouTube on the site below to re-calibrate the battery meter on the laptop.I replaced my battery over a month ago and so far I am very pleased with the performance.

Finally got around to fitting this and fits perfectly into my mid 2014 13" pro. Its early days, but so far no issues with performance or integrity of the battery. I would strongly urge you to follow YouTube clips on how to fit it e.g. using dental floss to separate the old battery packs glue from the base is make things a lot easier!

Useless after 181 cycles (Normally start "dying" after 1000 cycles). And I pay about £60. Now £100. Doesn't worth it. I want to sell the computer and after 2 years I have to spend £100. Are you kidding me?

My battery died in my Mac book pro after an update, was quoted nearly £500 for Apple the repair it! Fitted this and my laptop is back to full Health with over 7hours of battery life

The battery was well packaged and easy to install for an experienced apple user. But now a couple months later I have a battery service warning :/ very disappointing!

Fitted this to my 13inch MacBook pro (2015) after the battery life had dwindled to a measly 1 hour. Fitting was a little bit of a pain but with some patience and a good sturdy credit card to remove the glue it was all switched over in under an hour.Battery life has now improved and on average getting 7-8 hours of life with moderate use such as as watching a movie. Well worth the price to restore my Mac to it's former glory, especially for someone like me who prefers the older style Mac without the new keyboard.
