Clymer Honda: Cb750 Nighthawk, 1991-1993 and 1995-1999 (Clymer Motorcycle Repair Manuals)

Over the last 10 years I have been pleasantly surprised with the Clymer manual for this NH 750, as I have rebuilt carbs, pulled both wheels, rebuilt brake system, synced carbs, etc. For this specific edition, someone took the time to disassemble the bike and write accurate sequences, list torque values, and describe many "gotchas" to look out for. It is a jewel of a manual. The disassembled view photos have helped me many times. The wiring diagram alone is worth the price of the manual, with accurate color coding.Based on years of terrible Clymer manuals for various vehicles, I had low expectations - but on the old forum it was described as the one to get, and it is. You can often find them used if you look.The official Honda shop manual is garbage. It reads like a lawyer wrote it, translated from Latin. Like the person listed out tasks but they have no real world experience or have never actually done it. I acquired the hard copy of official Honda shop manual a long time ago - and never use it after a couple attempts because the Clymer manual is that good, and the OEM manual is that bad.This Clymer manual will walk you through the steps to be done. It has everything and written for a common person to understand. Mine has oil stains, a dozen postits, - and I wouldn't do without it.

Have relied on this publisher many times for many vehicles and not been disappointed. My CB 750 needs more rebuilding than this covers so have gotten official repair manual - but highly recommend this for almost everyone!

It's a must have if you're going to work on your bike, but aren't a professional (and sometimes when you are). The instructions and explanations are mostly very clear, however, some of the pictures are not very clear (as in what their pointing at & the clarity of the picture in general).Overall I give it 5 stars as it has already helped me adjust my chain, find & empty my breather tube, remove and rebuid my petcock, sync my carbs and more. I've only had the book in my possession for about 3weeks, and done all the previously mentioned work, saving $80/hr from a shop, I'd say it's already paid for itself!

I'm not new to auto maintenance, but I am new to motorcycles. My '96 CB750 will be a fun bike to take care of, and this Clymer's manual has many clear pictures and easy-to-read instructions. I have read through most of the manual, and used several sections already. I do wish there was a little more information in the electrical section, but I don't believe you'll find a more comprehensive collection of straight forward information and guidance anywhere online. I can't speak for other manuals, but I would feel comfortable doing most anything, including some major engine work, with the guidance of this manual.

great repair book if you have one of these bikes

This manual has EVERYTHING you need to do your own maintenance on your Nighthawk (which shouldn't be too much since these bikes are built to last) I've done an oil change, clutch adjustment, throttle adjustment, and exhaust removal with the help of the Clymer! The quality is nice as well, pages are solid and not flimsy recycled paper. Pictures are a little dark but for the most part you can see everything you need to for all your maintenance.

Book is exactly as advertised. 400 pages chock full of step by step instructions and reference photos. Honestly, if you're mechanically inclined and you have the tools, you could probably avoid shop bills altogether with this book.

This Clymer maintenance manual is entirely adequate for its purpose. While imperfect in clearly connecting photos to written descriptions, it still provides extremely useful guidance for most common tasks, and provides nearly any mechanical spec one could wish for. In past I have found Clymer products to be of pretty good value, and this one has certainly proved to be just that.
