Christmas present
I bought this for a Christmas present so I don't know how my grand-son will like it yet, from my perspective the firetruck is a great toy!

Clever toy
Bought for 5 yr old. Facinated with all of the workings, but the "secret" codes are just the thing for an active imagination.

Stay away from this toy
Did not like at all. I was surprised and very happy that the company was open on Christmas day when I contacted them to provide me with the code for the toy. Now the toy does not work at all after only two weeks. Very disappointed.

Not totally pleased
This is a well made toy, bot not very kid friendly. First off, the Amazon site indicates that batteries are included. Only the batteries for the truck are included (four AA). The remote control needs 2 AAA batteries to function (not included). This is not mentioned on the Amazon site. After having received the item, the outside of the box indicates that 2 AAA batteries are needed. Yet the Spanish Language information on the outside of the box indicates that 3 AAA batteries are needed. The Torch Fire Truck functions okay. Nothing special and not very exciting. It is a little complicated for kids to use and enjoy as a fun toy.

Where the heck is the sync code? It's not on the bottom of the truck
This is a fun toy but the instructions are awful. They refer to sections in the manual by letter; none of the manual sections are labeled by letters. They tell you the sync code for the remote is on the bottom of the vehicle; there is no sync code on the bottom of the vehicle. I looked over every inch of the toy for fifteen minutes and opened the battery case to make sure it wasn't in there: no sync code. So, where is the sync code? It's on the bottom left corner of the right page of the manual (see the picture attached to my review). My father-in-law was an engineer in the space program for NASA and I'm a software engineer of 15 years. Neither of us could figure this out. Thankfully my wife decided not to follow the incorrect instructions, and found the sync code while looking over the manual. This would have been five stars since my son loves the toy and remote but the terrible manual and resultant poor setup experience get it a three out of five.Worx Toys: update your manual, please.
