The Tarot of Transformation: Chart Your Own Course to Healing and Spiritual Awakening

Fast shipping and I had excellent communication with the seller. But these cards and this book are so low quality...for $40 I have bought decks that had at least a little quality. The cards are just paper and they don’t even come in a tuck box. They’re just loose in the wrapping with the low quality book. I don’t think I’ve ever purchased anything this low quality from Amazon before. I hope people stop selling this flimsy trash and the publisher does a reprint properly, with actual cards. I’m very tempted to return this. DO NOT BUY if you think this is going to be an actual deck of tarot cards with a book.

I think different decks speak to different people. This one definitely speaks to me. It is really a deck of transformation. In your own life it helps with the things that we've maybe clung to from our past, our hurts, the things that keep us stuck. Conversely it shows you what is working for you as well. In those lessons, (at least for me) it's made the deck easy to interpret. I recommend this deck to anyone searching for transformation.

The originals of these cards are magic. Good, sturdy, professionally printed, coated cards and a quality printed book. We LOVED them. They got us through some really hard times. Then we lost them in a traumatic emergency. We forgot about them until someone mentioned them, and then we just had to find them again. We were thrilled to see them on Amazon and gladly paid the over $40 they cost. They arrived today and my partner wept with disappointment. These aren't even cards at all. They're printed on thick paper, no coating, and the colors don't even always match on the different runs. Shuffle them twice and they're going to be damaged. And the book is printed so cheaply you can see the dot matrix in the gray font and have to work not to get a migraine when reading it. They're an insult to the originals. If no publisher can see the value of printing these cards right, they're not paying attention. These cards are deep and wise and incredibly powerful, and besides that, stunningly gorgeous. They deserve MUCH better than this. We are now praying we can find a used deck to have the real thing back again.

The Tarot of Transformation is an OUTSTANDING deck,artwork is STUNNING ,card stock sucks but this is such a wonderful deck that the thin cards can be overlooked . The book is fantastic . I highly RECOMMEND this deck!

The Tarot of Transformation is an interesting combination of Jungian Psychology and Tarot. Not only does the book offer an interpretation of the card and its meaning, it gives guidance regarding therapeutic actions that may be taken, based on the interpretation of the card, such as journal writing, yoga, meditation and visualization. Each card has a header that helps with interpretation, i.e. 0 The Fool: Innocence or Ignorance. The artwork is very modern and symbolic, very appropriate for a Jungian deck. I believe these cards and the book can provide the reader and/or the querant with interpretation and guidelines that potentially could lead to healing and empowerment. I recommend this deck particularly to those with an interest in psychology and for the use of Tarot to provide emotional healing.

The seller shipped promptly, communicated well, and the item was as described. Additionally, I am very happy to have this tarot deck, as it has a uniquely healing voice. If we are all Fools, then these cards are the snapshots of our Journey. Many of the archetypes here are transformed, or on the edge of transformation. So, too, are the images always in motion, in one way or another. The combination is very activating. This book and cards should be yours if you are ready for shift and change.

I am so happy to have this deck! I love it for healing and insightful advice. The artwork is truly mesmerizing and the book is equally informative and together they make up a unique and satisfying tarot experience! Get ready to go deep and uncover layers of hidden realms within.

These cards really are stunning; each one is beautifully drawn and has a lot of detail. As reported by others, the cards are a bit less sturdy than usual. However, if you use the gentle shuffling technique described here: [...] the cards should last a good long time.It is also true that the authors stray from the traditional interpretation of the cards. I have thoroughly enjoyed their spiritual transformation orientation. A friend once told me that our subconscious is so anxious to communicate with us that it will use any symbol system we choose to employ, I believe this to be true, and enjoy exploring different symbols as well as experiencing the nuances between similar decks.With this deck, I have especially enjoyed selecting just one card, and then exploring it in my journal for several days. For fun, I sometimes do a Google search with the name of the card, for example, "Passionate Play." Sometimes what shows up is synchronicity in action. That in turn, can become more fodder for the journal.

the tarot deck uses cards based on more traddtional decks,but changes especially the major arcana to provide more emporwering images that especailly will resonate for women. The artwork throughout the deck is stunning and detailed - you could spend hours studying each card! The book gives enough imformation to start using the deck anfd to build a relationship with it, while allowing space for the reader to develope thier own interpretations.

OK, I'll get the negatives out of the way as they are not the main meat of my review. First off, £38 for a deck and paperback is VERY procey, and will put this deck beyond the means of those on lower incomes and students. Secondly, the quality of the card stock from which the cards are made is VERY poor! OK, the laminate is not messy and the print resolution is fine, but the cards are SERIOUSLY flimsy. My deck is a few months old and not used daily and already some cards have creases, though no tears. Yet. Oh, and I should add that while the card stock is terribly thin, the accompanying paperback is very well-made.So: while I can't square the poor quality of the cards for the high price you pay, I DO utterly love this deck. Utterly. It's just wonderful.The deck is unashamedly feminist in perspective, though I would also recommend it for men as there are certainly male figures in there and there is no negative portrayal of men at all. The imagery draws on art elements from Native American, Egyptian, Celtic, and Islamic cultures, as well as paying homage to geometry and physics. Religions you'll find referenced include Christianity, Wicca, Buddhism, Shamanism, Druidry to name a few.This deck is unique, though, in that it also references cutting-edge psychiatric and psychological theories and techniques. It never preaches, though - just lays out the theory, explains how this might affect your behaviour, and then describes ways to deal with this aspect in ways that will improve your life.I am not one to ever go around saying "this xxxx changed my life", but in this case I have to admit this deck enabled me to make profound changes to my life and behaviour in ways I had never been able to before. I bought Tarot deck after Tarot deck, but none of them actually explained how to change the negative beahviour patterns in which I found myself. With this deck, after one look through the cards, I knew I had found what I needed at last. After four months of working with them I have changed for the better in ways I wouldn't have thought possible.In summary, this is not just a divination tool, but a way to look at your behaviour and begin to realise what's really going on and why. Then, you are given tools to help "fix" the problem - these tools lie in the messages of the cards and how they work together. I suppose given the help I have had from these cards, I shouldn't moan about the price! If you're looking for a deck to play about with, get a cheap Rider-Waite. If you feel there are aspects of your life to need to change, and you really need help, buy this deck and I'd be very surprised if you weren't genuinely enlightened by its messages.

received the book with coffee stains yet it said it was the tarot set so disappointed with this seller, have bought before from them and received the book, didn't realise was same seller under a different website. If I had realised I would never have bought because I really wanted the cards set, below every review was about having the book and cards together.feel completely let down.stupid books useless and I have two of the darn things now. I will end up ripping the book to pieces before long.hate this tarot deck now...it's been evading me too long I own't buy form owlsmartusa ever again.
