This kit was a great starter for me, my first project was a wallet phone case, I purchased the leather scraps, leather glue and edge cream. Thats the only other pieces I needed for a finished project. I would recommend this for a starter like myself! Also the cutting mat has been a game changer, probably shouldn't be mixing arts but I used it to cut out some scrap book paper art with the exacto knife and it worked amazingly!

Package arrived on time. Cardboard box was ok, but could have been bigger as once I took one tool out I couldn't put back in to shut box.Pros: alot of items for under 100 bucks to help someone just beginningReally helpful if you don't know what you need to start.Cons:hammer came bent and unusuable. I was truly upset by this as I couldn't use the kit for a few weeks until I bought a new hammer. It shouldn't have even been sent this way it was so bent. *see attached photo*The snap buttons/"rivets set" are very poor quality and are not matched up to the corresponding pieces.The leather hollow hole punches seemed dullNeedles seemed a bit dull, and would have been nice to have them named or at least described for usage. Especially since most people buying these kits haven't used the needles before to know what they are used for.Overall decent amount of items for price. Quality is you get what you pay for.I have spent about the same amount in replacing parts, even before getting halfway through a simple strap mask ear keeper.If I knew more of what I needed to start, I probably would have bought each piece seperate and built my own kit.

After reading the other reviews I was scared when the product came in to open the box. I was amazed at how wrong they were honestly. The box is beautiful and also could be a wood burning project or a canvas for a painter. No cuts, scratches or anything.The tools themselves are amazing, the scrap leather inside are medium size pieces. A lot larger than other kits I have bought in the past.The seller packaged this really well several items in bubble wrap, large bubble bags around main box, carefully put together and a manual of how each tool works and what it is for was inside.I am very pleased and would definitely recommend this product to others.

After watching a bunch of leather working videos I really wanted to get started making a few things. Of course there are tools that this kit doesn't have but it has enough for me to try out the hobby with one set. I've just started using it and I'll update later once i get through using all the tools. I'm pretty excited about diving in and it even included some veg tan scrap leather to get started with.

I just received this. you have to put together the tool holder yourself, which is fine. However the pieces are NOT CUT RIGHT and would not fit together. It took a lot of effort to get them to fit, and the top part (where the little circle holes will not piece together at all. The variety of starting tools and rivets provided are nice, I did expect the hammers to be bigger.

Here the thing, I want to see you try to get all the tools, stamps, and snaps for a cheaper price. If you are starting to do leather working this is a great starting point. It has a paper describing all the pieces. After getting this the only thing you will need is any special dyes and stamps you want.

This is great for people who want to try out working with leather, but I wouldn’t recommend it for people who work with leather regularly.I bought this kit for one project having never worked with leather before. The tools did well enough for my project and it wasn’t so expensive that I am upset about buying it, but now that I found I enjoyed working with leather and want to do more, I want to buy better quality supplies.The threads tend to shred a bit and the sheers aren’t super sharp. But, I was able to sharpen the sheers to get some more use out of them. The awls are decent enough, but the handles won’t hold up to years of use. The selection of needles is quite decent though.
