- Tips to Remove Silicone Smell: There is no ordor on our trays; Some silicone items start to have smell after a period of constant use, 2 tips to remove it: 1. Putting the empty trays in the oven at 375 degrees for 30-45 minutes to remove the smell. (Note: you will smell a strong freezer burn odor while the trays are in the oven but it goes away quickly,don't put lids in oven, lids are not heat resistant). 2. Soaking them overnight in vinegar and then washing them should remove the smell.
