I like that this has a round head it makes for nicer catchlights not that it's really that noticeable, the has and Ettl work well every time, godox has really nailed this one it feels OEM premium for sure and the battery gives good life, if doing an all-day shoot or long event I'd invest in another battery but you get plenty of shots on a single battery to be honest, overall a really good speedlight from godox, their best yet by far.

This is not the pro version, although the listing says "Godox V1-S Professional Camera Flash." Don't be fooled.I would DEFINITELY NOT recommend buying this brand. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!TERRIBLE PIECE OF EQUIPMENT!

This flash does not work with a Sony A7RV

The flash has been great, but I have lightly used it for the last 18 months and the hot shoe broke while the camera was in use. I know from other reviews that this is a common problem with godox flash. Not sure how to get repaired now and it was an expensive item.

Bought this speedlight a few months ago to replace my neewer one that i dropped. I've only used it 3 times as i do most of my photography outdors. The hot shoe connector may as well have been made from butter, got looser and looser untill eventually it broke clean off. Ordered a replacement part to try to save it but if it goes again the V1s is going straight in the bin. Save your money guy's... DON'T BUY THIS FLASH.

£210 at time of reviewI’m on the fence with this one… build quality to me looked good, having read other reviews I didn’t experience any issues with the hot shoe mount and it’s looks robust to me. So in that respect no complaints. I have a Sony A7C, which not on the list of compatible cameras had no issues seeing the flash and triggering it. Even as I zoomed in and out the flash and camera communicated and the flash adjusted accordingly.It comes with a manual, which is just as well as I found the whole operation unintuitive, often I’d find myself in the wrong setting and scratching my head how to get back to where I was, after about 30mins I was finding the flash annoying to use in that respect. Yes over time I could get used to it, but compared to other flashes I own this was hard workSo yes the results seem good, the build quality is good, but the UI frustrated meHope my review was helpful

I have this flash for just 11 months.It worked perfectly in that time , both as an on camera flash and used remotely when fired with a transmitter on the camera.Nice soft light on subjects.Unfortunately during a recent shoot the flash stopped working altogether. The battery is fully charged and the green fire button lights up on the flash but it will not fire.Very disappointed and it was expensive. Any other godox flash I had worked fine.

I have bought 3 of these and two of the have issues with the hot shoe mount. And the are both less than a year old. Buy knowing at some point they will fail.
