Best ice packs
Have been buying these for years and they are the best ice packs for coolers. They get super cold and stay cold for long periods. Annoying to activate but worth it. I fill the tub and do a bunch at once. Then set them out and dry off before stacking in freezer

Very Handy and well made
for me, better than the softer gel packs....gets extremely cold and hard, and stays cold for many hours in a cooler

Fantastic!!!!!
These are phenomenal! I have used them for years. Several times it has been 90 degrees all day and they keep everything frozen. We do have a good large ice chest but these ice cubes work so well, I highly recommend them!!

Techni-ice fantastic.
I have had Techni-ice in the past and it is a wonderful product. It is clean, there are no possibilities for leakage, they freeze quickly and keep food cold for days in my cooler. I often have frozen food at the bottom of my cooler after 2 or 3 days using Techni-ice. I recommend these highly to anyone that camps, hunts, fishes or tailgates. I loved them so much, I recently purchased an additional 12 sheets. It is a fantastic product.

SUCSK! Doesn't keep things frozen even after being frozen with dry ice
I was really excited about this product after reading what it could do. I was hoping to use it for shipping frozen fish around the country (our side business). While I was hesitant to believe it would work for quite as long as detailed (up to 6 days with 5lbs dry ice) I assumed it would work for at least 48 hours.I wanted to get the maximum results and froze all of my sheets with dry ice in a cooler for 24 hours. They were extremely cold. I was pretty excited but wanted to test how long they worked with dry ice in the recommended 1.5 inch styrafoam shipping cooler. I put 5lbs dry ice with 4 techni sheets in a small 8 gallon cooler with frozen salmon packed solid with newspaper and bubble wrap. I also set up an identical cooler with only techni ice and fish, also packed solid. I was hoping the first could be for 2-3 day shipping and the second would work for overnight shipping.Only 20 hours later I had no dry ice (to be expected) but the techni ice packs on the top were mostly THAWED and the main problem - the once frozen fish was SOFT to the touch. The packs on the bottom were still frozen soild. The techni ice sheets in a cooler with no dry ice (but had been frozen at dry ice temps) were all thawing and the fish was also thawing. Totally not acceptable or consistent with the product's claims.I am totally shocked how a company can get away with the claims they make. This product is USELESS for shipping because it doesnt stay cold enough for long enough. You cant even overnight fish and expect it to be frozen in 24 hours. There is nothing special about these ice packs except for the slimminess that will probably make me choose a different pack in the freezer. I only hope enough people read my review so they dont buy them expecting them to last any longer than a normal ice pack - even when frozen with dry ice.

Highly recommend
We have used these for years. Stays frozen for along time. With these we use less ice in our coolers. After awhile they disintegrate and have to be replaced. One thing I don't like is they do get slimy even though it says they won't.

Still looking for the perfect product
I bought these based on the reviews and on other websites. Before, I used the packed ice to keep my drinks/food cold, but it was a pain emptying the cooler when the water melts. And when I use my smaller cooler (not plastic) the water would soak threw. I then went with the blue ice but those were bulky and took up a lot of space, and even though they worked, they didn't keep the drinks really cold.I bought 8 sets of these sight unseen based on the reviews. I soaked them in cold water, letting each cell fill up to about 3/4 of an inch, and they put them in the freezer. You can cut these into smaller pieces as needed. They seem to work pretty good, better than the blue ice, but not as great as real ice but they don't melt so you can use these in the hard plastic coolers, or the smaller coolers and not worry about water soaking threw. However, as some people said, there is a film on them that sort of makes the can feels oily. I have used these for BBQs and they do work but just note they do take a small time to prepare for first use (took me about 30 mins) to presoak the 8 sets and you have to squeeze them to get the water in them initially. I did cut mine up to fit smaller containers but I am still looking out for better products out there.

So far, so good !! Awaiting a "use" test- but initial impression is +
I was amazed that 12 sheets of this arrived in a flat envelope !!! When I pulled out the product I measured it at approximately 11 x 16 inches, for the full sheet (or 4 x 6 "cells"). I was able to cut several sheets into 2 x 4 cell 'long' pieces, more into 2 x 2 cell squares, and left some at 3 x 4 cell pieces (if anyone cares, 3 x 3 cells would be nearly square, and roughly 8 x 8) . I had no problem cutting in the space allowed without cutting into the cells with the polymer powder. I ended up with way more than 12 'sheets' ... I'm sure I'll have plenty for a long time!! :)I did a test run (I have limited freezer space, and the event that I really need this for will be stored at my father's freezer closer to that time) with a 2 x 2 cell piece. The "scrunching" in warm water took a little patience, but it was obvious when the powder was turning into more of a gel. I read, and followed, the instructions to not over activate, and to leave a thumb print in the middle of each cell before freezing- and then stuck it in the freezer. Worked very well ! It doesn't freeze into weird lumpy shapes, and will be easy to fit into the insulated bag I have for medically necessary "ice vest" inserts- allowing me to be away from home for an entire (12-15 hour) day. I plan to use several of the 2 x 4 cell pieces as those will fit perfectly into the eBag insulated bag, and along the sides of it to make sure the inserts stay cold.Cheers to the Aussies who came up with this !!
