Simple and informative!
I absolutely love this book! The information is presented in a very organized and simple way, and I appreciate how the author took time to think about what restaurant owners/operators need when setting up their books for the first time. Aside from being a silent partner in a restaurant business, I own a publishing company and due to the nature of work, our books are handled a bit differently; so it was really refreshing to access a resource that could quickly lay out what/how to handle the books specifically for a restaurant. Great work!!

A must have and about the author!
This book became my restaurant QB bible. Zach helped me so much! I was so impressed with his responses to my questions and to help me through. Even crazier is I am in a group on FB and one of the participants is friends with him. A very small world indeed. Thank you Zach for your help. May God bless you and all of your success in helping others! (I did not know the author personally, I came across this book on Amazon while in a desperate situation to assist my client)

Great book
Great book, gave me lots to think about and concern for my restaurant.

A must for a new or established restaurant owner
I am in the process of reading this book for a second time. I will likely read it a third time and it will be a constant reference when we get in the thick of opening our franchise restaurant. If you are new to restaurant ownership or franchise restaurant ownership, this book is a perfect start to getting your brain wrapped around the business/accounting/bookkeeping that running a restaurant entails. I feel is a must read (even for those who do not use quickbooks) for the restaurant owner.

Way too much text, not enough pictures
All of the information is there, but there are no examples of how to do it in the actual software. There are a number of screen capture tools and showing examples in the actual software would be useful. A picture tells a thousands words. A

Too basic
I have decades of bookkeeping and accounting experience. I expected this to be more detailed and specific with restaurant accounting and setup. This is a very basic book for beginners/intermediate users.

Easy to understand and comprehensive!
For someone who knows nothing about financial or numbers anything, this book was a lifesaver for me and my family's restaurant. It clearly lays out all of the terms and processes, in short, easy to understand sections and in plain English. I am quite literally grateful to this book for helping me get our accounting sorted out — and thus for helping me sleep a little better at night!!
