Yamaha Violin Bow Straightener - Collimator Guide Tool for Beginner Training & Exercise

I switched it back and fourth between a few violins with no problem at all. I been learning the violin my self without a teacher. Really made it much easier to learn.

The design of this is so much more effective at learning straight bowing than other similar products I've tried. The fact that it is rounded and low profile lets you bow normally (e.g. all the way to the frog) and also allows you to really assess whether your bow is straight in relation to the two sides. I rated this a 3 instead of 4 stars because it is just barely big enough for my 4/4 violin. Because of this, it would definitely scratch my violin because the fit is very tight-- I solved this by wrapping the "feet" in multiple layers of plastic wrap which is doing the trick.

I recently started taking violin lessons. My teacher is a professional and is very picky about holding the bow straight. He mentioned getting a bow guide, so I ordered this one. It attaches easily and can be removed easily when I pack the violin in the case. It has helped me learn to keep my bow straight as I play. I'm still not an expert, but I'm now able to play without the guide.

The media could not be loaded.  I've been teaching violin for over a decade. I've other bow straighteners before but this is so far the best one I've tried. It's super light and so much easier to put on compared to the clear plastic ones with a strap on it. I highly recommend. You won't regret it.

Much easier to install and remove than alternatives. And it doesn't mar the violin like others can. Eventually, I broke it through constant removal, but truthfully, I just taped the arch and the rest stayed in such good shape I didn't need to replace it. Great for a budding violinist.

I like how this works. Unfortunately, it's too flimsy at the bottom where it attaches to the violin. I've had to Gorilla glue mine 2x in a month.

Fits 4/4 nicely. Does what it's supposed to. Very light. Not built for long term use, but that's not its purpose. Could use some minimal documentation, but not essential.

for $20, this was a waste. It's just a piece of plastic and every time I would bow with it, my bow hair would get caught. I'm a total beginner so I get it. I just didn't find this helpful. I'm actually learning to bow straight better without it

ottimo ma visto quanto amo il mio violino proporrei di aggiungere ,nei punti di contatto, dei gommini per evitare che graffi il corpo.per chi deve impostare l'archetto serve veramente tanto

Se partió de los dos lados. Muy frágil y endeble. Muy mala calidad.
