Reliable & Comfortable, great as a winter boot or hiking boot
Purchased these boots to serve primarily as my winter / snow boots. They've performed very well with good traction in snow & mud while keeping my feet warm ( along with my heat-holders socks ) and dry. The boots are well made & feel solid without feeling bulky & overly heavy while walking. I wear a size 14 wide and these are sized appropriately to accommodate a wide foot while wearing thick insulated socks. Traction on ice isn't that great but then again no boot without cleats, spikes, etc ever has great traction on ice. This is easily fixed with any crimp-on or tie-on ice grippers ( for example Yak-Traks ) to provide great extra grip without compromising the comfort of these boots. I would recommend these boots to others.

Great Hiking Boots!
They fit well and are very comfortable, right out of the box. (No "breaking in" required) I ordered a size 11 which i usually wear and they fit great with a little extra room for thick socks. While hiking they remained comfortable and WATERPROOF! They have great traction and can handle the different types of terrain offered in the great Pacific Northwest! Also the price was right!

Good Value, Nice Shoes
These are pretty nice hiker shoes. Nice wide toe area. Wore them a couple times on a 4 mile walk on smooth surface and very comfortable. Just the right ankle height for me. A couple things that keep from being rated a 5 star. One, the loop on the back to pull them on is too small. I know my fingers are not the skinniest, but make the darn loops a half inch bigger so my finger will fit. Second, the tongue should be a tad taller. The laces almost go over the top of the tongue, it should be 3/8- 1/2 inch taller. Overall, pretty good value. Hard to know right now how they will hold ups but they look well made

Great Fit for Youth with Big Feet and Perfect for Hiking!
I ordered these hiking boots for my son, who has big feet for his age, and they’ve been a perfect fit! It’s always a challenge finding footwear that’s both the right size and comfortable, but these boots did the trick. They offer great support and are really sturdy, which is crucial for his outdoor adventures. The best part is that they’re waterproof! My son has worn them on some wet trails, and his feet stayed dry the whole time, which is a huge win when hiking. The boots also provide excellent traction, so he’s been able to confidently tackle all kinds of terrain without slipping.Overall, these hiking boots have been a great investment. They’re durable, comfortable, and practical—everything we were looking for in a boot for a growing kid with big feet! Highly recommend if you’re looking for quality boots for youth outdoor activities.

WATERPROOF & DURABLE ALL AROUND WORK BOOT
**I did not receive any kind of discount/rebate/compensation on exchange for this reviewLet me start by saying that I work as a facility maintenance technician at a university and put some MILES on my footwear.I usually spend $175+ on Solomon hiking boots because I want quality boots that are comfortable, durable, and keep my feet dry throughout the life of the boot. When winter approached this year, I wanted to get a cheaper pair of boots to wear as I often assist the grounds dept. with snow removal and salt application and didn't want to put my Solomon's thru the ringer.I read some other reviews on these boots and figured @ this $$$ point,I'd give them a shot!I'm here to tell you that I have worn these boots ALL WINTER and they have held up extremely well. They aren't insulated, but my feet stayed warm while shoveling snow all day in -20 wind chills. I have had them submerged in a flooded service tunnel up over my toes and the waterproofing held up perfectly.I traded out the factory insoles with my go to insoles (as I do with every pair of boots I buy) and they are comfortable to wear all day.I don't often leave reviews, but I have spent a lot of $ over the years looking for a durable, lightweight, waterproof boot that holds up longer than 3-6 months (averaging 18,000 steps a day) & These boots really & truly surprised me.... So I thought I would share my experience with you.Simply put, the QUALITY/VALUE of these boots is going to be hard to beat.

Nice shoes
I wear these for work and I do ALOT of walking and climbing ladders all day. They are comfortable and seem to be a well made shoe. They are a bit heavy and for me ran just a tad large, but not too large. I just went with a little thicker sock to account for that. I wear a 10.5 regular width in Merrill's so I used that as a size guide when I ordered them. I do like the metal lace holders, they allow you to pull the laces tight, but will most likely kill the shoe laces with time and use.
